System And Method For Providing An Autonomous Delivery Vehicle With Intelligent Ramp Control

View page
US Patent:
20200026281, Jan 23, 2020
Filed:
Jul 20, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/041272
Inventors:
Jianxiong Xiao - San Jose CA, US
Zhuo Li - San Jose CA, US
International Classification:
G05D 1/00
B60P 3/00
B60P 1/43
Abstract:
A system and method for providing an autonomous delivery vehicle (ADV) incorporated with intelligent ramp control is disclosed. The ADV is configured to make decisions to deploy/retract the ramps depending on some conditions around the ADV. The ADV comprising a computing device including a means for executing artificial intelligence (AI) software, a ramp system comprising a plurality of ramps, and a sensor assembly in communication with the computing device to collect environmental data around the ADV. The data is communicated to the AI software, which is configured to analyze the environmental data to detect one or more obstacles proximate to the plurality of ramps of the ADV. Further, AI software determines a decision to deploy/retract at least one ramp based on the analysis and transmits the decision to the computing device. The computing device is configured to manipulate each ramp to deploy/retract based on the received decision.

Power-Driven Synthesis Under Latency Constraints

View page
US Patent:
20160132765, May 12, 2016
Filed:
Nov 10, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/537857
Inventors:
- ARMONK NY, US
Pallab Datta - San Jose CA, US
Myron D. Flickner - San Jose CA, US
Zhuo Li - Cedar Park TX, US
Dharmendra S. Modha - San Jose CA, US
Gi-Joon Nam - Austin TX, US
International Classification:
G06N 3/04
G06F 1/28
G06N 3/063
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to meeting latency constraints in a multi-core neurosynaptic network. In one embodiment of the present invention, a method of and computer program product for power-driven synthesis under latency constraints is provided. Power consumption of a neurosynaptic network is modeled as wire length. The neurosynaptic network comprises a plurality of neurosynaptic cores. Each of the plurality of neurosynaptic cores is modeled as a node in a placement graph. The graph has a plurality of edges. A weight is assigned to each of the plurality of edges based on a spike frequency. An arrangement of the neurosynaptic cores is determined. The arrangement comprises a length of each of the plurality of edges. A maximum length is compared to the length of each of the plurality of edges. The weight of at least one of the plurality of edges is increased where the length is greater than the maximum length.

US Patent:
20160132767, May 12, 2016
Filed:
Nov 10, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/537826
Inventors:
- ARMONK NY, US
Pallab Datta - San Jose CA, US
Myron D. Flickner - San Jose CA, US
Zhuo Li - Cedar Park TX, US
Dharmendra S. Modha - San Jose CA, US
Gi-Joon Nam - Austin TX, US
International Classification:
G06N 3/063
G06N 3/04
G06F 17/30
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to providing power minimization in a multi-core neurosynaptic network. In one embodiment of the present invention, a method of and computer program product for power-driven synaptic network synthesis is provided. Power consumption of a neurosynaptic network is modeled as wire length. The neurosynaptic network comprises a plurality of neurosynaptic cores. An arrangement of the synaptic cores is determined by minimizing the wire length.

Fault-Tolerant Power-Driven Synthesis

US Patent:
20160132769, May 12, 2016
Filed:
Nov 10, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/537844
Inventors:
- Armonk NY, US
Pallab Datta - San Jose CA, US
Myron D. Flickner - San Jose CA, US
Zhuo Li - Cedar Park TX, US
Dharmendra S. Modha - San Jose CA, US
Gi-Joon Nam - Austin TX, US
International Classification:
G06N 3/10
G06F 17/10
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to providing fault-tolerant power minimization in a multi-core neurosynaptic network. In one embodiment of the present invention, a method of and computer program product for fault-tolerant power-driven synthesis is provided. Power consumption of a neurosynaptic network is modeled as wire length. The neurosynaptic network comprises a plurality of neurosynaptic cores connected by a plurality of routers. At least one faulty core of the plurality of neurosynaptic cores is located. A placement blockage is modeled at the location of the at least one faulty core. A placement of the neurosynaptic cores is determined by minimizing the wire length.
