Prognostic Methods For Breast Cancer

View page
US Patent:
7056663, Jun 6, 2006
Filed:
Mar 23, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/816460
Inventors:
Shanaz H. Dairkee - Orinda CA, US
Zheng Li - Hayward CA, US
Assignee:
California Pacific Medical Center - San Francisco CA
International Classification:
C12Q 1/68
US Classification:
435 6
Abstract:
Methods of determining the likelihood of the re-occurrence of tumors and of determining the aggressiveness of post-surgical treatment are provided which rely on analysis of a loss of heterogeneity at the particular chromosomal locus 3p24. 3. Loss of expression or hypermethylation of the thyroid hormone receptor β1 gene is also predictive of an increased re-occurrence of tumors.

Channel Allocation Procedure In A Meshed Network

View page
US Patent:
7965681, Jun 21, 2011
Filed:
May 16, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/152771
Inventors:
Jan Erik Johan Berglund - Cupertino CA, US
Zheng Li - San Jose CA, US
Kevin Tang - Dublin CA, US
Assignee:
Nokia Siemens Networks Oy - Espoo
International Classification:
H04W 4/00
US Classification:
370329
Abstract:
A method includes receiving at a gateway mesh node a channel set list indicating radio channels that are allowed for use by the gateway mesh node, scanning channels in the channel set list and creating a list of channels in order of interference that is present, allocating channels from the list of channels to a plurality of radios that comprise the gateway mesh node, and initiating transmission of beacon frames from each of the plurality of radios on a main channel. Each beacon frame includes information descriptive of a path cost representing a sum of all link costs back to a central point, a primary radio channel used by the radio transmitting the beacon frame, a channel set indicating only those channels that an associated portion of the mesh network is allowed to use, and a set of meshed nodes associated with the radio.

Providing Station Context And Mobility In A Wireless Local Area Network Having A Split Mac Architecture

View page
US Patent:
8422513, Apr 16, 2013
Filed:
May 23, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/154493
Inventors:
Jan Erik Johan Berglund - Cupertino CA, US
Zheng Li - San Jose CA, US
Assignee:
Nokia Siemens Networks Oy - Espoo
International Classification:
H04L 12/56
US Classification:
370466, 370393
Abstract:
A method includes receiving a first frame at a wireless access node, the first frame being received through a first communication network and having a source address; applying a function (e. g. , a hash function) to the source address to derive a destination address; encapsulating the first frame in a second frame that includes the destination address and a source address identifying the wireless access node; and sending the second frame to a second communication network for receipt by a destination node having the destination address. The destination node is an access controller that maintains state for a station that sends the first frame. The first communication network may be an IEEE 802. 11 network, and the second communication network may be an IEEE 802. 3 network. The address of the access controller is one of potentially many virtual MAC addresses associated with the access controller that enables an N:M relationship between a particular access node and a plurality of access controllers that may be clustered, and a N:1 relationship between a Station and a virtual access controller.

Assay For Detecting Methylation Status By Methylation Specific Primer Extension (Mspe)

View page
US Patent:
20050214812, Sep 29, 2005
Filed:
Jun 7, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/010980
Inventors:
Zheng Li - Hayward CA, US
Jeanne Harvey - Livermore CA, US
International Classification:
C12Q001/68
C12P019/34
US Classification:
435006000, 435091200
Abstract:
The present invention relates to detecting the relative methylation levels at one or more CpG sites on a nucleic acid molecule, by using the methylation specific primer extension reaction (MSPE). MSPE uses an agent to modify unmethylated cytosine at a CpG site to uracil and subsequently amplify the chemically treated nucleic acids. The MSPE primers distinguishing between unmethylated and methylated CpG sites are provided to conduct MSPE. Relative methylation levels at one or more CpG sites are performed by detecting the signal intensity of labels incorporated into the MSPE reaction products.
