Filed:
Jul 24, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/880850
Inventors:
Shu Li - Fremont CA, US
Assignee:
Rockwell Collins, Inc. - Cedar Rapids IA
International Classification:
G02B 27/14
US Classification:
359630, 359262
Abstract:
A phosphor screen for image forming including phosphor material being excitable by light in a wavelength λ. The phosphor screen receives an optical image from an image forming optical system and produces the optical image at a second wavelength λ. The phosphor screen includes a phosphor layer comprising the phosphor material. A short-pass reflective coating is positioned on a first side of the phosphor layer. The short-pass reflective coating transmits the wavelength λ and reflects the wavelength λ. A long-pass reflective coating is positioned on a second side of the phosphor layer. The long-pass reflective coating transmits the wavelength λ and reflects the wavelength λ. A first substrate is positioned over the short-pass reflective coating. The first substrate is formed of optically clear and thermal conductive material. A second substrate is positioned over the long-pass reflective coating.

Jan 13, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/349756
Inventors:
Shu Li - San Jose CA, US
Panu Chaichanavong - Sunnyvale CA, US
Jun Gao - San Jose CA, US
Assignee:
Marvell International Ltd
International Classification:
H03M 7/20
US Classification:
341102, 341 51, 341 67, 341 94, 341107
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with an encoder. In one embodiment, a system includes an encoder having a code word generator and an appending logic. The code word generator is configured to generate code words based on input data and identify one or more short code words. A short code word has a length less than a length of a full code word. The appending logic is configured to append at least one dummy value to at least one of the short code words to convert the at least one short code word to a full code word. The encoder may further be configured to encode the converted full code word and store the converted full code word without the at least one dummy value in a storage medium.

Non-Binary Ldpc Extrinsic Calculation Unit (Lecu) For Iterative Decoding

View page
US Patent:
8516347, Aug 20, 2013
Filed:
May 23, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/113561
Inventors:
Shu Li - Sunnyvale CA, US
Panu Chaichanavong - Sunnyvale CA, US
Jun Gao - San Jose CA, US
Assignee:
Marvell International Ltd. - Hamilton
International Classification:
H03M 13/00
US Classification:
714780, 714778, 714779
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for decoding a vector from a communications channel using a non-binary decoder. The communications channel may correspond to a wired or wireless channel. A message passing process computes R messages corresponding to a variable node of the non-binary decoder. Decoder extrinsic information is formed for the variable node by combining the R messages. The decoder extrinsic information is provided to a soft-detector.

Dosage Form For Time-Varying Patterns Of Drug Delivery

View page
US Patent:
20030125714, Jul 3, 2003
Filed:
Dec 18, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/324172
Inventors:
David Edgren - Los Altos CA, US
Patrick Wong - Burlingame CA, US
Shu Li - Union City CA, US
International Classification:
A61K009/22
US Classification:
604/892100, 424/468000
Abstract:
The present invention provides a multi-release oral drug delivery system that initiates drug release following an initial drug-free release interval, after administration to a subject, and a second drug-free release period before release of another dose of drug. The system has (1) inner compartments enclosed within a semipermeable membrane, and (2) a drug coating on the exterior of the semipermeable membrane surrounded by a microporous membrane, which microporous membrane is permeable to fluid and drug. The drug coating is released after the initial drug-free release interval. An inner compartment drug is released after a second drug-free release interval provided by a drug-free inner compartment.

Volume Efficient Controlled Release Dosage Form

Filed:
Mar 31, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/404166
Inventors:
Patrick Wong - Burlingame CA, US
Francisco Jao - San Jose CA, US
David Edgren - Los Altos CA, US
Robert Skluzacek - Newark CA, US
Shu Li - Union City CA, US
International Classification:
A61K009/24
US Classification:
424/473000
Abstract:
The present invention includes a dosage form that facilitates the controlled release of an active agent at a desired release rate or release rate profile. In each embodiment, the dosage form of the present invention includes a bi-layer membrane system and an osmotic core. The bi-layer membrane system includes a semipermeable membrane and an osmosensitive membrane and forms an internal compartment that is occupied by the osmotic core. The osmotic core of the dosage form of the present invention includes and active agent composition and a light push layer. The dosage form of the present invention additionally includes a passageway that is formed through the bi-layer membrane system and permits expulsion of the active agent composition from the dosage form during operation. The bi-layer membrane system and the osmotic core of the dosage form of the present invention are formulated and formed to provide controlled release of the active agent included in the active agent composition of the osmotic core, while simultaneously facilitating increased loading of active agent within a dosage form of given dimension and increasing the delivery efficiency of such active agent relative to prior osmotic dosage forms including a push layer.
