Filed:
Feb 1, 2019
Appl. No.:
17/264341
Inventors:
- Spring TX, US
Vijaykumar Nayak - San Diego CA, US
Shaymus Alwan - Vancouver WA, US
Javier Urquizu - San Diego CA, US
Yow Wei Cheng - Taipei City, TW
Andy Yi-Chih Liao - San Diego CA, US
Assignee:
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Spring TX
International Classification:
G06T 7/80
G06T 7/73
H04N 13/296
H04N 13/246
Abstract:
An example system includes a plurality of cameras to capture images of a target object and a controller to connect to the plurality of cameras. The controller is to control the plurality of cameras to capture the images of the target object. The controller is further to determine a pose of a camera of the plurality of cameras. The system further includes a platform to support the target object. The platform includes a plurality of unique markers arranged in a predetermined layout. The controller is further to determine the pose of the camera based on unique markers of the plurality of unique markers that are detected in an image captured by the camera.

Generation Of Object Databases

US Patent:
20210149948, May 20, 2021
Filed:
Oct 11, 2018
Appl. No.:
17/047457
Inventors:
- Spring TX, US
Vijaykumar Nayak - San Diego CA, US
Assignee:
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Spring TX
International Classification:
G06F 16/55
G06F 16/54
G06F 16/532
G06F 16/538
G06K 9/62
G06N 3/08
Abstract:
A system may include a scanning device to scan a plurality of objects in a controlled environment and in multiple orientations, a scan calibrator to perform calibration of the scanning by the scanning device, and a database configurator. The database configurator may be configured to determine multi-dimensional invariant orientations and geometric properties of features of the scanned objects to generate subsets of objects from the plurality of objects that are unique to the subset of objects, determine correlations between the determined multi-dimensional invariant orientation and the geometric properties of the features, generate group identifiers for each of the subsets of objects, perform supervised training on the determined multi-dimensional invariant orientations and geometric properties to generate trained parameters for each of the subsets of objects, and generate an object database based on the group identifiers and the trained parameters.

US Patent:
20180001660, Jan 4, 2018
Filed:
Jan 30, 2015
Appl. No.:
15/547290
Inventors:
- Houston TX, US
Vijaykumar Nayak - San Diego CA, US
John T. Brassil - Princeton NJ, US
International Classification:
B41J 3/36
B41J 29/393
Abstract:
A mobile printing system including a handheld printing device including at least two navigation sensors, a transmitter, a processor, and a print nozzle, and a distance sensing module including at least two distance sensors, the distance sensing module to be mountable to a print media at a distance from the handheld printing device, the distance sensing module to sense positional data of the handheld printing device, wherein the processor determines current, past, and anticipated positions of the handheld printing device based on positional data information received from the distance sensing module and navigation information received from the at least two navigation sensors and controls the handheld printing device to cause print fluid to be dispensed according to a print request and the anticipated positions of the handheld printing device.

Apparatus To Track A Pointing Device

View page
US Patent:
20140125592, May 8, 2014
Filed:
Nov 5, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/669108
Inventors:
- Houston TX, US
Vijaykumar NAYAK - San Diego CA, US
Assignee:
Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P. - Houston TX
International Classification:
G06F 3/033
G06F 12/00
US Classification:
345158, 345564
Abstract:
An apparatus for use in helping to track a pointing device is disclosed herein. An example of the apparatus includes an orientation member coupled to the pointing device that includes a plurality of points at least some of which define a plane. The apparatus also includes a sensor to detect the plurality of points of the orientation member and a processor to determine a location in a workspace of each of the points of the orientation member detected by the sensor. The processor also determines a geometric property of the plane defined by at least some of the points of the orientation member and locates a position of an end of the pointing device along a line segment associated with the geometric property. A method for use in helping to track a pointing device in a workspace and a non-volatile storage medium are also disclosed herein.
