Detachable Drawlock And Method Of Attachment To A Bow

View page
US Patent:
20100018512, Jan 28, 2010
Filed:
Jul 24, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/458851
Inventors:
Vernon Ralph Sandel - Dollar Bay MI, US
International Classification:
F41B 5/18
F41B 5/10
US Classification:
124 256, 124 352, 124 88, 124 40, 224245
Abstract:
A method of mounting a detachable drawlock to a compound bow is disclosed. It consists of a fixture attached to the bow and a drawlock having complimentary mounting means that fit in the fixture securely but detatchably. A detatchable drawlock is disclosed wherein the bow mounted fixture is a quiver mounting block that attaches at the bow sight. The detatchable drawlock comprises a mounting plate bearing the same mounting means as the quiver which detatchably mounts in the quiver mounting block, a rod attached to the mounting plate to hold the draw, and a mechanical release at the distal end. The mechanical release disclosed comprises a string catch that is spring biased to the cocked position, a trigger, and a safety that is spring biased to the on position. The drawlock carries on the quiver for transportation and storage.

Leaf Collecting And Hauling Tarpaulin

US Patent:
20120267909, Oct 25, 2012
Filed:
Apr 22, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/066685
Inventors:
Vernon Ralph Sandel - Dollar Bay MI, US
International Classification:
B65D 30/00
US Classification:
294137
Abstract:
A lawn tarpaulin of strong, flexible material for collecting and hauling leaves and lawn debris is described consisting of a rectangular tarpaulin with two or more weighted and partially stiffened edges. Both the weight and stiffening are provided by a plurality of strips of stiff dense material, such as metal strips, fastened to the tarp edges alternating with short gaps of flexible tarpaulin edge between them. This allows the tarpaulin to be folded for convenient storage. The weighted edges keep the tarpaulin from bowing in the wind and stable when raking debris onto the tarpaulin. A handle attached to one corner of the tarpaulin connects the opposite corner and to at least one central point on a front edge for hauling. The partially stiffened edges cause the tarpaulin to assume a shape while hauling that encloses the load and prevents spillage.

Archery Bow Steady Rest And Holder

US Patent:
6948690, Sep 27, 2005
Filed:
May 30, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/448377
Inventors:
Vernon Ralph Sandel - Dollar Bay MI, US
International Classification:
A47B096/00
US Classification:
2482184, 42 94, 89 3704, 124 86
Abstract:
An Archery Bow Steady Rest and Holder for hunting which holds a bow in a ready vertical position in front of the archer with arrow nocked while waiting for game, and which also supports and steadies the bow and user's arm while drawing, aiming and firing. It comprises a swiveling support boom attached at its proximal end to a vertical surface, with vertical support elements attached near the distal end of the boom, and a bow attaching device holding the bow at the riser between the hand grip and upper limb. The bow may be freed from the support system simply by lifting it.

Tamper Resistant Power Receptacle

US Patent:
20210265787, Aug 26, 2021
Filed:
May 11, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/317612
Inventors:
Vernon R. Sandel - Licking MO, US
International Classification:
H01R 13/71
H01R 13/44
Abstract:
The present invention provides a power outlet with safety features having the form and size to fit standard electrical boxes. The present invention includes of one or more switched sockets which are generally switched on by movement from a first position to a second position. The described movement is prevented by one or more locks configured to be unlocked by complete insertion of a plug's power blades into the socket. In addition, optional blade locks may be provided to prevent removal of the plug once the movement from the first position to the second position has begun. The movements described herein are fixed, linear and rotary. An embodiment adapted for use with an extension cord socket is also presented.

Internal Shutters And Lock Mechanisms For Safety Electrical Receptacles

View page
US Patent:
20200403349, Dec 24, 2020
Filed:
Jun 23, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/909853
Inventors:
Vernon Ralph Sandel - Licking MO, US
International Classification:
H01R 13/453
H01R 43/26
H01R 25/00
Abstract:
Four different combinations of a sliding internal shutter and shutter lock control mechanism are described along with methods of incorporating the combinations into receptacles to prevent foreign objects from gaining access to power. Each combination is composed of a ramped shutter, spring biased in a closed position, and two to four lock control mechanisms, each of which moves a locking bar out of contact with an impeding surface on the shutter. The entrance of a standard plug into the assembled receptacle moves all the locking bars away from the shutter's impeding surfaces and the blades interaction with the ramps moves the shutter to the open position allowing the blades to continue to power. The combinations may be installed in receptacles as standalone modules that are installed in a receptacle case or the parts may be integrated directly into a receptacle structure with the proper support structure. These four shutter-lock control mechanism combinations provide superior safety and do not suffer the rejection problem common to the present tamper resistant receptacles. Another three shutters that open by rotary action when the lock control mechanism is in the unlocked state are presented. The safeties of these are similar to the present tamper resistant receptacles but do not have the rejection problem. A method is also provided.
