View page
US Patent:
7531822, May 12, 2009
Filed:
Oct 29, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/926242
Inventors:
Todd R. Minnigh - Pittsford NY, US
Xiaohui Wang - Pittsford NY, US
Assignee:
Carestream Health, Inc. - Rochester NY
International Classification:
G01N 23/04
US Classification:
250588, 250580, 250581, 250582
Abstract:
An apparatus for obtaining a radiographic image has a cassette with an erasable photostimulable storage medium, housed in the cassette, that can store a radiographic image when irradiated with electromagnetic radiation at an exposure wavelength and that can be erased for subsequent use when irradiated with electromagnetic radiation at an erasure wavelength. A memory that is associated with the cassette stores a signal that is indicative of elapsed time since the most recent erasure of the photostimulable medium.

Administrative Reports For Digital Radiology Department

View page
US Patent:
8019625, Sep 13, 2011
Filed:
Jun 7, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/759352
Inventors:
Todd Minnigh - Pittsford NY, US
David A. Kennedy - Webster NY, US
Delin Shen - Pittsford NY, US
Assignee:
Carestream Health, Inc. - Rochester NY
International Classification:
G06Q 50/00
US Classification:
705 3, 705 2
Abstract:
A system produces administrative reports for a digital radiology department. The system includes a plurality of digital radiographic systems, each of which has storage for storing digital data in html relating to the use and operation of the system. A computer is in communication with the plurality of digital radiographic systems. The computer has a web browser for collecting digital data relating to the operation and/or use of each digital radiographic system. The computer produces one or more administrative reports based on the collected data.

Retrofitable Long-Length Digital Radiography Imaging Apparatus And Method

View page
US Patent:
8213572, Jul 3, 2012
Filed:
Aug 11, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/538930
Inventors:
Todd R. Minnigh - Pittsford NY, US
Xiaohui Wang - Pittsford NY, US
International Classification:
G01N 23/04
G01N 23/083
H05G 1/02
H05G 1/10
G21K 1/04
US Classification:
378 62, 378 95, 378 9812, 378145, 378205
Abstract:
An apparatus for obtaining a long-length x-ray image of a subject, has an x-ray source and a first sensor that generates a first signal that indicates termination of x-ray emission from the x-ray source. A digital radiography detector is energizable to generate image data after receiving x-ray emission from the x-ray source. A detector transport apparatus is actuable in accordance with the first signal to translate the digital radiography detector from at least a first detector position to a second detector position for generating image data at each detector position. A processor in communication with the digital radiography detector obtains the image data of the subject that is generated from the detector.

Long Length Multiple Detector Imaging Apparatus And Method

View page
US Patent:
8351568, Jan 8, 2013
Filed:
Sep 11, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/557839
Inventors:
Todd R. Minnigh - Pittsford NY, US
Timothy J. Wojcik - Rochester NY, US
Assignee:
Carestream Health, Inc. - Rochester NY
International Classification:
G01N 23/083
H05G 1/02
US Classification:
378 62, 378 55, 378204
Abstract:
An apparatus for obtaining a long length x-ray image of a subject has a first x-ray detector, a second x-ray detector, and an x-ray source having an exposure directing apparatus that is actuable to direct exposure from the x-ray source towards at least a first imaging position during a first interval and a second imaging position during a second interval, with an overlap along a boundary between the at least first and second imaging positions. An x-ray detector holder has a detector translation apparatus that is actuable to translate at least one of the first and second x-ray detectors to an interim position for one of the first and second intervals and to either the first or the second imaging position for the other of the first and second intervals. A host controller is programmed to provide instructions for movement of the x-ray detector holder and exposure directing apparatus.

Imaging Plate Cassette For Extended X-Ray Photographs

View page
US Patent:
20020044630, Apr 18, 2002
Filed:
Aug 17, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/932659
Inventors:
Denise Minnigh - Stamford CT, US
Todd Minnigh - Stamford CT, US
International Classification:
G03B042/02
G03B042/04
US Classification:
378/174000, 378/182000
Abstract:
A method of taking an extended X-ray photograph by using an film cassette devised to contain a longer X-ray film such that a longer complete image of a subject may be rendered such that no diagnostic information is lost in examinations of scoliosis or the long bones of the body. When the cassette is exposed to X-rays through an object, an X-ray transmission image of the object is recorded on a stimulable phosphor sheet and, at the same time, the X-ray film is exposed to light instantaneously emitted from the stimulable phosphor sheet upon exposure to X-rays to record an extended photographic latent image of the X-ray transmission image of the object on the X-ray film.
