BJ Services Company - Houston TX
International Classification:
E21B 43/00
US Classification:
166375, 1663344
Abstract:
A hydraulic sleeve valve is disclosed that comprises a bypass relief system that provides an indication that the valve has reached a predetermined position, such as, for example, the fully opened or fully closed condition. The bypass relief may also provide a valve control fluid circulation function to filter or otherwise manipulate the control fluid. Also disclosed are flow port alignment systems that maintain the valve flow ports in predetermined relationships.

Bypass Device For Wellbores

View page
US Patent:
7926569, Apr 19, 2011
Filed:
Jun 23, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/821601

Charles David Wintill - Houston TX, US
William John Darnell - Houston TX, US
William Ryle Darnell - St. Martinville LA, US
Rodney Wayne Long - Cypress TX, US
Todd Ulrich Chretien - Lafayette LA, US
Assignee:
Petroquip Energy Services, LLP - Houston TX
International Classification:
E21B 34/10
US Classification:
166319, 166373
Abstract:
A bypass device for bypassing a hydraulic piston in a wellbore with an outer tubular body. The outer tubular body can have a fluid control manifold. The fluid control manifold can have two control paths, two high pressure fluid paths, and two valves connecting with two high pressure fluid connecting paths. An inner tubular body can be disposed within the outer tubular body, and a piston chamber can be disposed between the inner tubular body and the outer tubular body. The piston chamber can include two piston chamber sections separated by a hydraulic piston.

Filter Sub

US Patent:
7926595, Apr 19, 2011
Filed:
Jun 23, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/821620
Inventors:
Charles David Wintill - Houston TX, US
William John Darnell - Houston TX, US
William Ryle Darnell - St. Martinville LA, US
Rodney Wayne Long - Cypress TX, US
Todd Ulrich Chretien - Lafayette LA, US
Assignee:
Petroquip Energy Services, LLP - Houston TX
International Classification:
E21B 43/34
E03B 3/18
US Classification:
175314, 166227
Abstract:
A downhole filter with a filter housing having a top filter and a bottom filter disposed therein. The filter housing can be in fluid communication with each filter. Each filter can be in fluid communication with a burst disk housing having a burst disk module and a burst disk. Each burst disk housing can be in fluid communication with the filter housing. Fluid can flow through the filter housing and through the filter. When a filter is clogged, the fluid can burst a burst disk, thereby bypassing the filter. The downhole filter can include a middle sub in fluid communication with the top filter and a second portion of the filter housing. The middle sub can threadably engage a bottom burst disk housing.

Plunger Lift System For Well

View page
US Patent:
7954545, Jun 7, 2011
Filed:
Jan 25, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/020366
Inventors:
William Hearn - Cypress TX, US
Todd Chretien - Lafayette LA, US
Assignee:
Weatherford/Lamb, Inc. - Houston TX
International Classification:
E21B 43/00
US Classification:
166 68, 166105, 1663328, 166370, 166372, 417 56, 417 60
Abstract:
A plunger lift system has a bumper and a landing positioned in tubing below a safety valve of a well. A plunger moving between the bumper and landing lifts columns of liquid above the plunger when pushed by downhole pressure. A valve on the plunger's housing is movable between open and closed positions to either permit or prevent flow through the plunger. When the plunger engages the landing, a striker rod on the landing opens the valve permitting fluid communication through the plunger to a sales line at the surface. The valve is biased to the closed position to prevent fluid communication through the plunger. When the plunger is disengaged from the striker rod, the valve closes so that application of downhole pressure can again move the plunger uphole. A controller cycles the plunger between the bumper and the landing by controlling fluid flow in the well.
