Adjustable Strut Spacer

View page
US Patent:
20080303235, Dec 11, 2008
Filed:
Jun 9, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/135696
Inventors:
Scott E. Poncher - Costa Mesa CA, US
Cordell E. Bauer - Costa Mesa CA, US
Steven A. Dringenberg - Costa Mesa CA, US
International Classification:
B60G 25/00
US Classification:
2801241
Abstract:
An adjustable strut spacer includes two complementary strut spacer disks that engage each other and the vehicle suspension to provide adjustable spacing. Each strut spacer disk is flat on one side and stepped on the other side. The steps of the upper strut spacer engage the steps of the lower strut spacer such that when the strut spacer disks are counter rotated the thickness of the adjustable strut spacer changes.

Hybrid Spring Extender

View page
US Patent:
20080142765, Jun 19, 2008
Filed:
Dec 13, 2007
Appl. No.:
12/002119
Inventors:
Cordell E. Bauer - Costa Mesa CA, US
Scott E. Poncher - Costa Mesa CA, US
International Classification:
B60G 11/00
US Classification:
254 105
Abstract:
A hybrid spring extender is composed of a spring cup bonded to a urethane or polyurethane spacer. The spring cup is metal and may include one or more mechanical elements to secure the spring cup to the polyurethane spacer. The hybrid spring extender is installed between the spring and the frame element that normally secures the spring to increase lift, or the height of the vehicle frame from the pavement. The use of a metal spring cup protects the polyurethane from deformation, dissipates heat and spreads the load from the spring to the entire polyurethane spacer. The combination of metal spring cup and polyurethane spacer also minimizes noise and rotational forces on the spacer.

Suspension Strut Extension And Angle Correction Device

View page
US Patent:
20150123359, May 7, 2015
Filed:
Nov 4, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/532783
Inventors:
- Henderson NV, US
Scott Evan Poncher - Henderson NV, US
International Classification:
B60G 17/00
US Classification:
280 6157
Abstract:
A system and method for modifying a ride height of a vehicle is disclosed. A vehicle lift system has a first suspension strut extension device, having an extension member fixed between an upper plate mount and a lower plate mount. The upper plate mount is secured to a top edge of the extension member at an angle relative to the lower plate mount such that the upper plate mount and the lower plate mount are not parallel. The extension member is angled in a first direction according to a first angle relative to the x-z plane. And the extension member is angled in a second direction according to a second angle relative to the y-z plane.

Steering Correction And Support Device And Methods Of Making And Using Same

View page
US Patent:
20150123391, May 7, 2015
Filed:
Nov 3, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/531073
Inventors:
- Henderson NV, US
Scott Evan Poncher - Henderson NV, US
International Classification:
B62D 1/20
F16D 3/26
US Classification:
280780, 2940203
Abstract:
A device for correcting a length and an angle of a steering shaft in a rack and pinion steering system of a vehicle after a distance between a steering wheel and a rack is altered comprises a coupler having a straight portion and an angular portion. The straight portion has a proximal end and a distal end, and the straight portion is coupled at the proximal end to the angular portion with a universal joint that allows for angular movement of the angular portion with respect to the straight portion. The device comprises an extension shaft that is coupled to the straight portion at the distal end, and a locking member having a threaded shaft and a casing having an opening. The opening is configured to receive the extension shaft. Each of the extension shaft and the angular portion are configured to be operably coupled to the steering shaft.
