Abstract:
A security device is provided which may be installed on a roll-up door of a cargo container garage or storage facility. The security device includes a locking bar having a locking pin, which is shiftable into a locking pin receiving aperture in a side wall of the roll-up doorframe. The locking bar also includes a tab with an opening for receiving the locking rod of a puck shaped lock when the locking bar is in the locking position.

Abstract:
A portable security device for locking a pair of stanchions of a cargo container which employs a J bar having a hook at one of its ends for engaging one stanchion and notches on its other end which are engageable by a complementary latch on a flip plate pivotally mounted to a housing which includes an elbow providing a pocket for the other stanchion. The J bar extends through aligned opening in side walls of the housing and in front of the other stanchion to lock it in its pocket. A puck lock secured to the housing holds the flip plate latch in engagement with a notch of the J bar.

Abstract:
A security device is provided with a housing, which may be installed on a roll-up door of a cargo container, tractor-trailer, or storage facility. The security device includes a removable locking pin structure having a locking pin structure is manually removable through a housing chamber for a puck lock. The housing includes a tab with an opening for receiving the locking rod of a puck shaped lock and the locking pin structure has a window through which the locking rod extends in a locking condition of the lock. Structures are provided for storing the locking pin structure when the security device is unlocked.

Abstract:
A security device is provided for a cargo container having doors hinged on vertical axis, which are locked by vertical stanchions. The locking device includes a housing and a hook. The hook has a pair of vertically spaced claws, which are placed around a stanchion in straddling relation to a pair of parallel brackets to which the stanchion operating lever is pivotally connected. The housing of the locking device has a cross bar which confronts the pivot brackets, thereby preventing rotation of the stanchion when the housing and hook are coupled by a puck lock.

Abstract:
A security device is provided for locking a closure such as a door or a gate to an enclosure. The security device is a lock guard for a padlock having a shackle insertable in either a vertical opening or a horizontal opening in a latch component on the closure or the enclosure. The lock guard has a sloping roof for deflecting sledge hammer blows. The sloping roof is preferably a double pitch roof. One embodiment of the invention has two double pitch roofs facilitating its use with both latch parts having vertical openings and latch parts having horizontal openings. Another embodiment of the invention has a single pitch roof.

Abstract:
A lock guard is provided which is particularly well suited to protect a padlock employed to secure a stanchion lever securing one or more doors of a cargo container, trailer truck or moving van. The lock guard includes an interior locking tab with a vertical opening through which a hinged leg of a padlock shackle extends when the unhinged leg of the shackle is passed through an opening in a component of the stanchion door and the shackle is closed by abutting it against an abutment on the underside of the roof of the guard. The lock guard, which provides a protective housing or shield for the shackle of the padlock when the padlock is in its installed locking position, is particularly compact thereby minimizing access of cutting tools to the padlock shackle.

Abstract:
Two embodiments of a guard are provided for protecting a padlock securing stanchion levers in their door locking position. An opening in the front wall of the guard permits its use with padlocks having long shackles as well as those with regular length shackles while retaining the compactness not normally retained for the extended length of the shackles. The preferred construction lock guard has a pitched roof and a pair of legs on its laterally outer sides extending downwardly behind the stanchion lever at laterally opposite sides of the stanchion latching mechanism that increase stability, rigidity of the housing and protection of the latches.
