View page
US Patent:
20070094325, Apr 26, 2007
Filed:
Oct 21, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/255624
Inventors:
Ronald Ih - Los Altos CA, US
William Sumerlin - Pleasanton CA, US
Derek Gaw - Seattle WA, US
Sung Hwan Chung - Stanford CA, US
Assignee:
Nucleoid Corp. - Los Altos CA
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
709203000
Abstract:
Hybrid peer-to-peer data communication and management is described, including querying a plurality of elements in an environment for state data, the state data describes a state of the environment and an activity occurring in the environment, receiving the state data from one or more of the plurality of elements in response to the querying, analyzing the state data to determine an environmental change, the updated state data is generated describing the environmental change, and using the updated state data to modify the environment by dynamically allocating the plurality of elements to process a simulation, the plurality of elements being dynamically allocated based on available processing capacity provided by the plurality of elements.

Collectible Token Data Management

View page
US Patent:
20070256124, Nov 1, 2007
Filed:
Apr 13, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/404962
Inventors:
Ronald Ih - Los Altos CA, US
William Sumerlin - Pleasanton CA, US
James Seelig - Topanga CA, US
Assignee:
Go Play Network, Inc. - Los Altos CA
International Classification:
H04L 9/32
US Classification:
726009000
Abstract:
Collectible token data management is described, including creating a visual representation of a token, associating a data structure and data with the token, and transmitting at least a portion of the data to a receiver in response to a user input with the token.

Method And Apparatus For Reducing Electromagnetic Interference Radiated By Cathode Ray Tube Displays

View page
US Patent:
60209399, Feb 1, 2000
Filed:
Jan 19, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/588658
Inventors:
Abraham E. Rindal - Fremont CA
Ronald H. Ih - San Francisco CA
Michele K. Law - Mountain View CA
Assignee:
Sun Microsystems, Inc. - Palo Alto CA
International Classification:
H04N 568
US Classification:
348805
Abstract:
Electromagnetic interference ("EMI") is reduced in a CRT video display system by spreading-out the EMI-producing spectra present in the video pixel data and/or clock signals. A clock dropping circuit coupled between the display generator main oscillator and the timing generator periodically phase-modulates the timing generator clock signal such that it comprises N phases, where N. gtoreq. 2. As a result, each horizontal line of video data and the horizontal synchronization signals is phase shifted. This dual-shifting effect eliminates display image distortion that would result if only the video signal were shifted. Video distortion is further minimized by deriving the horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals from a common constant clock. EMI energy associated with each clock harmonic is spread by a frequency amount. DELTA. f proportional to the rate of phase change in the clock signal, the rate of phase change exceeding half the bandwidth f. sub.

Page Turning Device

View page
US Patent:
55750974, Nov 19, 1996
Filed:
Mar 16, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/405533
Inventors:
Jeffrey P. Chou - Menlo Park CA
Ronald Ih - San Francisco CA
International Classification:
B42D 904
US Classification:
40531
Abstract:
A page turning device for use with any bound pages such as books, music scores, or binders, which have small ferrous elements (14) attached to the edge of each page. The device uses a motorized arm (16) with a magnetic tab (17) mounted on the end to engage individual pages and turn them in either the forward or reverse direction. The magnetic tab (17) is raised during a page turn, but rests in a downward position between page turns so as to not interfere with manual manipulation of the pages. The device further incorporates foot actuated user switches (12,13) which control the mode of operation and cause the device to turn a page in the appropriate direction.

Provisioning Systems And Methods

US Patent:
20220224549, Jul 14, 2022
Filed:
Mar 28, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/705942
Inventors:
- LOUISVILLE CO, US
Ronald H. Ih - Los Altos CA, US
International Classification:
H04L 9/32
H04L 9/40
H04L 9/30
Abstract:
A method for registering and provisioning an electronic device is provided. The method includes a step of inserting a first keypair into a secure element of the electronic device. The first keypair includes a public key and a private key. The method further includes a step of requesting, from a server configured to register and provision connected devices, a provisioning of credentials of the electronic device. The method further includes a step of verifying, by the server, the electronic device credentials. The method further includes a step of registering, by the server, the electronic device. The method further includes a step of transmitting, from the server to the electronic device, a device certificate. The method further includes steps of installing the transmitted device certificate within the secure element of the electronic device, and provisioning the electronic device according to the installed device certificate.

US Patent:
20220216992, Jul 7, 2022
Filed:
Mar 28, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/706067
Inventors:
- LOUISVILLE CO, US
Ronald H. Ih - Los Altos CA, US
International Classification:
H04L 9/08
H04L 9/32
Abstract:
A system for enhanced internet of things digital certificate security is provided. The system includes a computer device. The computer device is programmed to store, in a database, a plurality of statuses associated with a plurality of digital certificates. The computer device is also programmed to receive, from a first computer device, a status update for the first digital certificate.
