US Patent:
20020002171, Jan 3, 2002
Filed:
Jan 26, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/771067
Inventors:
Richard Chalquest - La Jolla CA, US
International Classification:
A01N043/824
A01N043/40
A01N043/82
US Classification:
514/254030, 514/326000, 514/363000
Abstract:
Substituted 3,4-bis-alkylamino -1,2,4-thiadioyoles useful for the control of nematodes are disclosed. Specifically, the subject anthelmintic compounds have been found to advantageously control nematodes at concentrations which are non-phytotoxic. The anthelmintic compounds can be used in conjunction with other nematicidal agents such as free fatty acids, fatty acid salts, avermectins, ivermectin, and milbemycin. In another embodiment, the subject invention further provides methods for killing the eggs of nematodes. Thus, the subject invention further relates to the surprising discovery that certain compounds have ovicidal activity against nematode eggs.

Abstract:
Methods and compositions for the control of nematodes are disclosed. Specifically, the subject anthelmintic compounds (substituted 4-phenoxy-6-amino- pyrimidines) have been found to advantageously control animal parasitic nematodes and plant parasitic nematodes at concentrations which are non-phytotoxic. The anthelmintic compounds can be used in conjunction with other nematicidal agents such as B.t.s, avermectins, ivermectin, and milbemycin.
