Wire Management Grommet

View page
US Patent:
6895634, May 24, 2005
Filed:
Oct 14, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/687406
Inventors:
Peter M. Tisbo - Barrington IL, US
Assignee:
Custom Plastics, Inc. - Elk Grove Villa IL
International Classification:
F16L005/00
US Classification:
16 21, 16 22, 16 25, 174153 G, 174 65 G, 174152 G
Abstract:
A wire management grommet includes an outer peripheral member and an inner perforate member. The outer peripheral member is constructed and arranged to frictionally engage a planar surface, usually a desk or tabletop. The outer peripheral member is formed from a first rigid material having sufficient mechanical stiffness for effective frictional engagement with the planar surface and the cooperating aperture. The inner perforate member is formed from a second flexible material and is overmolded using conventional injection molding techniques to the said outer peripheral member to form a unitary grommet. The second flexible material is chosen to have sufficient flexibility to permit passage of disparate cable combinations through the inner perforate member. The inner perforate member has a plurality of radially dispersed openings constructed and arranged for strain-free engagement of a plurality of cables so that the said inner perforate member returns to its original configuration after the cables have been inserted therethrough.

Flat Screen Monitor Desktop Support

View page
US Patent:
7487944, Feb 10, 2009
Filed:
Jun 11, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/150690
Inventors:
Peter Tisbo - Elk Grove Village IL, US
David Phillips - Elk Grove Village IL, US
Assignee:
Custom Plastics, Inc. - Elk Grove Village IL
International Classification:
A47F 5/00
US Classification:
24828851, 24828911
Abstract:
The instant invention provides a flat screen monitor support assembly having a base that is coupled to the edge of a desk, or to a grommet hole in a desk. A distal end of the monitor support assembly is securable to the back of the flat screen monitor. Torsilastic assemblies allow for adjustment of the biasing required to maintain the vertical spacing of the monitor from the desktop surface with pivot pins providing horizontal rotation. The torsilastic assemblies accommodate monitors of different weight as well as normal aging of the elastomeric elements within the assemblies. The support base further includes an offset pivot providing additional rotation aspects without the need for support bracket movement.

Mounting Bracket For Slat Walls

View page
US Patent:
7891617, Feb 22, 2011
Filed:
May 13, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/465359
Inventors:
Peter Tisbo - Elk Grove Village IL, US

Custom Plastics, Inc. - Elk Grove Village IL
International Classification:
A47B 96/06
US Classification:
24822022, 24822041, 24822043, 248300
Abstract:
A securing assembly for enabling a structure, such as a display case, to be mounted onto a slat wall is disclosed. The securing assembly includes a first and a second bracket which are securable to each other without the use of tools or adhesives. The first bracket includes a plurality of sections, secured together, which enable the first bracket to be secured to a slat wall without the use of tools or adhesives. The second bracket includes a first portion securable to the first bracket and a second portion which can be secured to a structure with fasteners. In order to mount a structure on a slat wall the second bracket secured to the structure, the first bracket is secured to the slat wall and then the first and second brackets are secured to each other.
