Abstract:
A male urinary incontinence device comprises a cylindrical sheath with an open first end to receive the penis and a tubular connector at a second end for discharge of collected urine, the sheath having a longitudinal opening along at least one side to allow ready placement of the penis therein. A viscous gel strip is applied to the upper inner circumference of the sheath and an elastic strap is applied to the upper outer circumference of the sheath the gel strip and strap acting cooperatively to retain the sheath on the penis and to render the sheath leak proof in use. The sheath also includes a connector assembly for attachment of tubing and a urine collection vessel. Placement of the device may also include a mounting ring and a strap assembly.

A barrier formed from a silicone gel composition for application to the human skin to retain devices on the skin or inserted through the skin or into body orifices, the silicone gel composition forming a fluid tight seal between the skin and the applied devices. The barrier may include a stretchable matrix incorporated within the silicone gel composition so that the barrier, once elongated, will return to its original dimensions while maintaining a leak-free seal. Abstract:
A cap for a container configured for dispensing single items, such as pills, held in said container. The cap channel extends from an upper surface to a lower end providing a passageway through the cap to allow for a predetermined quantity of items to be transferred through a port in an upper portion of the cap. The cap has a lid moveable from a closed position to an open position. In its closed position dispensing of items is prevented; in its open position at least one item is dispensed through the port. A gate is operable, in a first orientation to partially block the passageway and, in a second orientation, to unblock the passageway to allow a preset number of items, to pass through. Alternatively, a diverter is incorporated to control flow of the contents.

A unique adaptor and improved incentive spirometer for delivering medication to patients from metered dose inhaler canisters. The improved apparatus is comprised of a unique universal adaptor has an inlet configured to receive a variety of incentive devices, an outlet to connect a mouthpiece and a socket for receiving a metered dose medication canister. The socket is constructed to accept a wide variety of metered dose inhaler spray tips and includes a nozzle spray tip constructed to provide optimum misting. The inlet of the unique, universal adaptor is constructed to receive a variety of incentive devices to improve medication penetration. An improved incentive spirometer for connection to the inlet of the unique universal adaptor is also disclosed. The improved incentive spirometer may also be used for efficient inspiratory and expiratory volume exercising.

Abstract:
An apparatus for forming a fluid tight seal around a penis of a user comprising for controlling male urinary incontinence, the apparatus having a substantially fluid impermeable sheath having a proximal end and a distal end, an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein, in use, at least a portion of the inner surface contacts the skin of the penis. The sheath has a first longitudinally compliant portion and a second radially compliant portion positioned between the proximal and distal ends. The longitudinally compliant portion can take the form of bellows, and the radially compliant portion can take the form of flutes. A retention arrangement, such as a strap for retaining the radially compliant portion about the circumference of the penis of a user can also be provided. The sheath is, in use, attached at the proximal end to a retention ring attached to a user.

A fluid tight wrap is provided around a penis of a user utilizing a substantially fluid impermeable sheath formed of sheet material. The sheath has a proximal end and a distal end, an inner surface and an outer surface, where the inner surface contacts the skin of the penis in use. The sheath has a first side and a second side, and sheath member is sized to circumferentially envelop a penis of a user such that the inner surface of the second side overlaps the attachment portion and the attachment portion securing the second side to the first side such that the first and second sides overlyingly coextend substantially longitudinally down the penile shaft from the proximal end of the sheath to the distal end of the sheath.
