International Classification:
H04W 74/08
H04W 16/14
H04W 72/12
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support network controlled repeater operation at new radio—unlicensed (NRU) bands. The network controlled repeater operations include receipt of a scheduling message from a serving base station that identifies an amplify and forward (AF) window and an offset prior to a beginning of the AF window. The relay node performs a listen before talk (LBT) procedure on a shared communication channel within the offset. In response to the result of the LBT, the relay node either refrains from AF operations within the AF window in response to failure of the LBT procedure or performs the AF operations on all received signals during the AF window in response to success of the LBT procedure. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract:
Techniques for using simultaneous connectivity for mobility of integrated access and backhaul nodes may include an IAB node establishing a first connection with a first parent node (e.g., second IAB node) associated with a first IAB donor device (e.g., first base station) and establishing a second connection with a second parent node (third IAB node), wherein the second connection is simultaneous with the first connection. The IAB node may also switch the first connection from the first parent node to the second parent node. In doing so, the IAB node may have dual connectivity with the second parent node, where one connection is a master connection and the other connection is a secondary connection.

View page
US Patent:
20220386170, Dec 1, 2022
Filed:
Aug 9, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/884059
Inventors:
- San Diego CA, US
Piyush Gupta - Bridgewater NJ, US
Luca Blessent - Whitehouse Station NJ, US
Tao Luo - San Diego CA, US
Karl Georg Hampel - Jersey City NJ, US
Navid Abedini - Basking Ridge NJ, US

International Classification:
H04W 28/02
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support resource utilization based event triggering. A wireless node in a wireless communications system may establish a connection with a core network via a path that includes one or more relay nodes. The wireless node may determine that a network load associated with one or more paths between the wireless node and the core network has changed, or that a difference between two or more network loads of different paths has changed. Based on such a determination, the wireless node may transmit a report to the network. In some cases, the network may receive the report from the wireless node, and may initiate a path change based on the report.
