Awards:
Qualcomm IdeaQuest Award
Qualcomm University Recruiting
My idea: BioMobile was chosen out of 100+ ideas for an innovation competition. Created and led a team of 5 to do additional research and present to Qualcomm employees. BioMobile, an idea exploring the possibility of detecting disease through a toothbrush (utilizing recent innovations like the Human Microbiome Project, DNAelectronics chips, and Qualcomm's chipset). Won 1st place out of 10 teams and encouraged to file a patent. Top 3 teams won a tablet or smartphone of their choice, and pitched the idea over breakfast with CEO, Paul Jacobs.
QualStar Award
Abhijeet Nikam (mentor)
Recognized for exceptional contribution and rewarded for bringing project to completion.
Cisco Grace Hopper Conference Scholarship (2012)
Cisco
Provided a scholarship to attend the Grace Hopper Scholarship in Baltimore, Maryland due to my involvement with Undergraduate Women In Computing (WIC) at UCSD. Gained great insight on what I can do to increase female and other underrepresented minority representation in the field of computer science.
BOEING - IDEA Scholarship Recipient
BOEING, Jacobs School IDEA Center
Received a $2,000 scholarship and selected due to demonstrated technical experience, academic achievements, and commitment to diversity.

Arranging Trips For Autonomous Vehicles Based On Weather Conditions

View page
US Patent:
20220371618, Nov 24, 2022
Filed:
May 19, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/324334
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Mishika Vora - Hayward CA, US
International Classification:
B60W 60/00
G01C 21/36
G01C 21/34
B60W 10/30
B60H 1/00
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure provide for arranging trips for autonomous vehicles. For instance, a request for a trip may be received by one or more processors of one or more server computing devices. The request may identify an initial location. A weather condition at the initial location may be identified. One or more internal vehicle state conditions and one or more priorities for pulling over may be determined based on the weather condition. A second location may be determined based on the one or more priorities and the initial location. Dispatch instructions may be provided to an autonomous vehicle, the dispatch instructions identifying the second location and the one or more internal vehicle state conditions in order to cause computing devices of the autonomous vehicle to control the autonomous vehicle to the second location and adjust internal vehicle state conditions based on the one or more internal vehicle state conditions.

Evaluating Pullovers For Autonomous Vehicles

View page
US Patent:
20220326711, Oct 13, 2022
Filed:
Apr 13, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/229054
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Mishika Vora - Hayward CA, US
Tiffany Washburn - Sunnyvale CA, US
Yu Zheng - Milpitas CA, US
Sandra Lennie - San Mateo CA, US
International Classification:
G05D 1/02
G05D 1/00
G06K 9/32
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure relate to evaluating pullovers for autonomous vehicles. In one instance, a set of potential pullover locations within a predetermined distance of a destination may be identified. Whether any of the potential pullover locations of the set include one or more of a plurality of predetermined types of regions of interest where a vehicle should not park for an extended period of time may be determined. A pullover location is identified based on the determination. The identified pullover location may be compared to a pullover location identified by autonomous vehicle control software in order to evaluate the pullover location identified by the autonomous vehicle control software.

Advanced Trip Planning For Autonomous Vehicle Services

View page
US Patent:
20220214180, Jul 7, 2022
Filed:
Mar 24, 2022
Appl. No.:
17/703628
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Salil Pandit - Mountain View CA, US
Clement Wright - San Francisco CA, US
Nirmal Patel - Sunnyvale CA, US
Saksiri Tanphaichitr - Palo Alto CA, US
Mishika Vora - Hayward CA, US
International Classification:
G01C 21/34
G05D 1/02
G05D 1/00
G06Q 50/30
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure provide for advanced trip planning for an autonomous vehicle service. For instance, an example method may include determining a potential pickup location for a user, determining a set of potential destination locations for a user, and determining a set of potential trips. For each potential trip a vehicle of a fleet of autonomous vehicles of the service may be assigned and trip information, including an estimated time of arrival for the assigned vehicle of the potential trip to reach the destination location of the potential trip, may be determined. The trip information for each potential trip may be provided for display to the user. Thereafter, confirmation information identifying one of the set of potential trips may be received, and the assigned vehicle for one first of the set of potential trips may be dispatched to pick up the user.

Systems And Methods Tor Updating Pickup And Llropott Locations Tor A Vehicle

US Patent:
20220205794, Jun 30, 2022
Filed:
Dec 27, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/134491
Inventors:
- Mountain View CA, US
Saksiri Tanphaichitr - Mountain View CA, US
Donghyun Kim - Mountain View CA, US
Ben Wang - Mountain View CA, US
Cameron Blume - Mountain View CA, US
Mishika Vora - Mountain View CA, US

International Classification:
G01C 21/34
B60W 60/00
G01C 21/36
G06K 9/00
G01C 21/00
Abstract:
An example method includes setting an initial pickup location. The method includes causing an autonomous vehicle to navigate towards the initial pickup location. The method includes periodically generating a plurality of candidate updated pickup locations. The method includes selecting a suggested pickup location from the plurality of candidate pickup locations that achieves a benchmark for reducing one or more of a time and a distance associated with the initial pickup location for one or more of the autonomous vehicle and the client device. The method includes determining that the suggested pickup location satisfies a set of pre-update checks for limiting a number of pickup location updates. The method includes responsive to (i) selecting the suggested pickup location, and (ii) determining that the suggested pickup location satisfies the set of pre-update checks, causing the autonomous vehicle to navigate to the suggested pickup location.
