Abstract:
Roll-on, soft solid paste, aerosol, and stick underarm compositions contain (i) an antiperspirant or deodorant active ingredient, (ii) a vehicle, (iii) an emollient, and (iv) a blend of a silicone rubber powder and an ,-diene crosslinked silicone elastomer. When the silicone rubber powder and the ,-diene crosslinked silicone elastomer are present in the blend in a weight ratio of 1:2 to 1:6, respectively, roll-on underarm compositions possess low separation of less than one percent, and syneresis is minimized in soft solid paste underarm compositions.

Abstract:
A water-in-oil (W/O) emulsion with a discontinuous aqueous phase dispersed in a continuous oil phase has in the continuous oil phase a linear silicone polyether, an α,ω-diene crosslinked silicone elastomer, and a nonionic organic emulsifier. The W/O emulsion is otherwise free of silicone elastomers prepared using unsaturated compounds containing silicon atoms. Either the discontinuous aqueous phase of the W/O emulsion or the continuous oil phase of the W/O emulsion contains a water soluble or oil soluble active ingredient such as a vitamin.

Abstract:
Novel ester derivatives of ascorbic acid and 2-keto-acid saccharides are provided wherein the ester is introduced by ester bond formation between at least one hydroxy-functionality on the ascorbic acid or 2-keto-acid saccharide and a carboxy-functional organosiloxane, or between a 2-keto-gulonic acid and a hydroxy-functional organosiloxane, as well as methods for their synthesis. Treatment, cosmetic, and personal care formulations comprising the novel esters are also provided, including controlled release forms thereof.

Oil in water emulsion compositions, and methods for preparing such emulsions, where the oil phase component of the emulsion contains at least 50 weight percent of a low molecular weight siloxane are disclosed. The oil in water emulsions are stabilized by a combination of a silicone polyether and anionic surfactant.
