System And Method Of Fingerprint Anti-Spoofing Protection Using Multi-Spectral Optical Sensor Array

View page
US Patent:
20180365467, Dec 20, 2018
Filed:
Jun 15, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/624191
Inventors:
- Round Rock TX, US
Maxwell S. Andrews - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
Abstract:
Systems and methods for fingerprint anti-spoof protection using a multispectral optical sensor array may include a fingerprint sensor device that may have a fingerprint area sensor, a multi-spectral optical sensor array, and a signal processing device. The fingerprint area sensor may detect a finger in contact with the fingerprint area sensor and may capture a fingerprint sensor image. The multi-spectral optical sensor array may capture spectral reflectance data of the detected finger. The signal processing device may determine authenticity of the detected finger based on the fingerprint sensor image and the spectral reflectance data and provide an authentication result.

System And Method For Redefining Depth-Based Edge Snapping For Three-Dimensional Point Selection

View page
US Patent:
20170116759, Apr 27, 2017
Filed:
Jan 3, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/397551
Inventors:
- Round Rock TX, US
Maxwell S. Andrews - San Francisco CA, US
Assignee:
Dell Products, LP - Round Rock TX
International Classification:
G06T 7/60
G06T 7/13
G06T 7/593
G06T 11/60
Abstract:
An information handling system and method includes a display screen for displaying a three dimensional image captured via a three dimensional camera and the processor to detect a selection of a first pixel within the three dimensional image that is proximate to an edge of a first object in the three dimensional image and redefine the selected first pixel to snap to a second pixel within the three dimensional image on the edge of the first object, wherein the second pixel has a large disparity within the three dimensional image and the processor to detect a selection of a third pixel within the three dimensional image that is proximate to an edge of a second object in the three dimensional image and redefine the selected third pixel to snap to a fourth pixel within the three dimensional image on the edge of the second object, wherein the fourth pixel has a large disparity within the three dimensional image.

Method And Apparatus For Depth Algorithm Adjustment To Images Based On Predictive Analytics And Sensor Feedback In An Information Handling System

View page
US Patent:
20170104979, Apr 13, 2017
Filed:
Oct 12, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/880842
Inventors:
- Round Rock TX, US
Christopher A. Torres - San Marcos TX, US
Deeder M. Aurongzeb - Austin TX, US
Roman Joel Pacheco - Leander TX, US
Maxwell Andrews - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
H04N 13/02
G06F 3/0346
Abstract:
A system for determining a loss of calibration in a multi-view stereo imaging system including executing instructions, via a processor, for a multi-view stereo imaging system to process a plural image frame recorded from a plurality of digital cameras of an information handling system and based on plural image calibration parameters and detecting a physical impact event, via a physical sensor, to an information handling system. The system and method execute instructions for a physical impact event detection system to determine, based on physical sensor feedback data, whether a threshold level of a physical impact event has been reached so as to affect calibration of the multi-view stereo imaging system. The detected physical impact event may be a mechanical impact event, a thermal impact event, a vibration mechanical impact event, or another physical impact event.

Method And Apparatus For Compensating For Camera Error In A Multi-Camera Stereo Camera System

View page
US Patent:
20170034502, Feb 2, 2017
Filed:
Jul 31, 2015
Appl. No.:
14/815614
Inventors:
- Round Rock TX, US
Maxwell Andrews - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
H04N 13/02
H04N 13/00
Abstract:
A system and method multi-camera error compensation including recording a plurality of raw images via a plurality of digital cameras and an application processor processing with a multi-view stereo imaging system one or more plural image frames from the raw images captured by the plurality of digital cameras. The plural images may be stored in memory and the detection conducted for calibration loss of at least one digital camera via the processor executing instructions for a multi-camera error compensating system to determine loss of calibration in plural images. The multi-camera error compensating system conducts dynamic recalibration of plural image calibration parameters based on at least one plural image frame and in response to detection of calibration loss via the multi-camera error compensating system and a processor reprocesses the plural image frame from a reprocessing queue according to the recalibrated plural image parameters.

Dec 29, 2014
Appl. No.:
14/584587
Inventors:
- Round Rock TX, US
Maxwell B. Andrews - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
G06T 7/00
Abstract:
An information handling system includes a three dimensional camera and a processor. The three dimensional camera is configured to capture a three dimensional image. The processor is configured to communicate with the three dimensional camera. The processor to provide the three dimensional image to be displayed on a display screen of the information handling system, to determine three dimensional coordinates for an object within the three dimensional image, and to calculate a dimension of the object based on the three dimensional coordinates.
