Point-N-Click Steering

View page
US Patent:
6995527, Feb 7, 2006
Filed:
Feb 13, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/779330
Inventors:
Louis DePasqua - Round Lake Beach IL, US
Assignee:
Innovative Technologies Corporation - Round Lake Beach IL
International Classification:
H04Q 7/00
US Classification:
318 16, 318581, 318585
Abstract:
The present system is a system for controlling a trolling motor in a fishing boat. The system comprises a transmitting unit and a receiving unit. The transmitting unit includes a direction sensor, a selection switch, and a transmitter. The direction sensor automatically senses the direction to which the user desires to steer the fishing boat when the user points the direction sensor in that direction. The user then uses the selection switch, and by “clicking” the switch once the transmitter sends a signal with the direction information to the receiving unit. The receiving unit then receives the signal containing the direction information, and affects the trolling motor in such a way that it steers the fishing boat in the desired direction.

Sonar Navigation System And Method

View page
US Patent:
8305844, Nov 6, 2012
Filed:
Aug 7, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/537887
Inventors:
Louis DePasqua - Round Lake Beach IL, US
International Classification:
G01S 15/89
US Classification:
367107
Abstract:
A method for pre-determining an underwater objects GPS position using a forward scan sonar unit linked to a boat trolling motor, magnetic compass and GPS receiver. This system determines the underwater objects GPS position using the objects distance, compass heading and a GPS receiver/sonar on a boat. This system will provide real time longitude and latitude positions of underwater objects seen with sonar at a distance from a boat, and will allow for precise autopilot navigation or fixed position fishing. The system can also be used to correct for GPS errors when using previously stored waypoints positions of an object. The computer determines an objects underwater GPS position using a forward scan sonar transducer and compass mounted on a 360 degree movable mechanism such as a trolling motor unit, and formulates the objects position based on the distance and heading of the object in relation to the boats current GPS position.

Touch Display Fishing Boat Steering System And Method

View page
US Patent:
20060089794, Apr 27, 2006
Filed:
Oct 22, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/971466
Inventors:
Louis DePasqua - Round Lake Beach IL, US
International Classification:
G01C 21/34
US Classification:
701208000, 701021000, 340995190
Abstract:
The present invention is directed towards an improved method for creating a navigational route by drawing a desired route on a screen in a continuous motion and utilizing a computer to generate GPS waypoints automatically. The desired navigation route of the boat is drawn onto the touch sensitive display predetermining the boat's steering course instantaneously. The system determines the steering course utilizing GPS/Loran longitude and latitude positions.

System And Method For Controlling A Recording Studio

View page
US Patent:
20060126863, Jun 15, 2006
Filed:
Dec 13, 2004
Appl. No.:
11/010494
Inventors:
Louis DePasqua - Round Lake Beach IL, US
International Classification:
H04B 5/00
H04B 3/00
US Classification:
381079000, 381077000
Abstract:
A wireless remote control system for controlling an audio recording system in a recording studio is disclosed. This system incorporates a small wireless remote that can be mounted directly on the user's body that may include an arm, wrist, leg, belt, or any member. This remote controller may also be mounted directly on an instrument. The system will provide the user the freedom to walk around and control all aspects of a studio environment without being tied to one location.

Sonar Navigation System And Method

US Patent:
20130044569, Feb 21, 2013
Filed:
Oct 15, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/652438
Inventors:
Louis DePasqua - Round Lake Beach IL, US
International Classification:
G01S 15/08
US Classification:
367103, 367 99, 367107
Abstract:
A method for pre-determining an underwater objects GPS position using a rotatable scan sonar unit linked to a boat, magnetic compass and GPS receiver. The computer determines an objects underwater GPS position using a sonar transducer and mounted on a 360 degree movable mechanism such as a trolling motor unit, or phased array of transducers and a compass to provide heading infromation and formulates the objects position based on the distance and heading of the object in relation to the boats current GPS position.

System And Method For Monitoring And Influencing Body Position

View page
US Patent:
20130108995, May 2, 2013
Filed:
Oct 31, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/286037
Inventors:
Louis DePasqua - Round Lake Beach IL, US
Richard A. Craig - Joliet IL, US
Scott D. Craig - Wheaton IL, US
Melaney Craig - Joliet IL, US
International Classification:
G09B 19/00
US Classification:
434236
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided to monitor a user body position and/or influence a user to change and improve body position, without causing the user to wake up. A personal audio output communicator is adapted to be positioned in close proximity to an ear of the user. A motion detector is adapted to attach to the user for generating a motion signal. A stimulus provider is adapted to receive the motion signal from the motion detector and to compare a motion signal value representative of the motion signal to a preset motion value. In response to the comparison, the stimulus provider transmits a user-selected stimulus and/or voice command stimulus to the personal audio output communicator.
