The AIA Knowledge Community conferences are forums for national dialogue, research and networking in niche professional interest areas. This inaugural fellowship funded the chance to attend the Crafting the Future conference in Japan to capture and organize the content and knowledge to deliver information to wider audiences during and after the conference.
AIA Arizona Associate Award
AIA Arizona
The Associate Award is given to an Associate member who displays exceptional dedication to the community and built environment through service to the community, to the AIA, and in the quality of work performed professionally. Leslie helped with the following: introduced Survival 101, a seminar to help members and non-members plan, act and strategize work opportunities in this challenging economy. Set up and maintain communication tools such as writing newsletter articles, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr account, and moderated monthly Associate lunches in both Tucson and Phoenix.
Common Ground Award for Wilmot Library Charette design team, AIA
Metropolitan Pima Alliance
Slated tor demolition, the efforts of Modern Architecture Preservation Project (MAPP) and the American Institute of Architects Southern Arizona Chapter (AIASAC), organized a public charette to determine the future of the Wilmot Library. I participated in creating precedent boards that explored the idea of "future libraries” through the architecture of Les Wallach, David Adjaye and interviews with Will Bruder's office. Awards: 2008 l\/letro|oolitan Pirna Alliance

Central Arizona Architecture Foundation
Granted 9 vouchers to complete my architecture licensure exams.
Diversity Scholar and Panelist
National Trust for Historic Preservation
The 2012 National Preservation Conference theme was public lands, diversity, and sustainability. I was selected as a Diversity Scholar and was on two panels. My talks were entitled: "Organizing our APIA Data, Creating a Digital Toolbox: Lessons Learned from the Asian Islander American Historic Preservation Forum" and "Why do we Need Historic Preservation and Social Media"
