As a member of the Dutchess County 4H for four years, with various titles, I have learned many different skills. First off, being in a club, I learned teamwork. How to utilize each team member to the best of their ability in order to bennefit the team as a whole. As the President of my club for two years, I was educated in how to be a great leader. With this position came a multitude of other great skills including but not limited to; people skills, organizational skills, time management, communicational skills, and event planning. During my last year, when I was about to age out, I assisted the Cornell Cooperative Extension in improving local events to better suit the children participating in the equine division. Even though I am no longer a '4Her' I still exercise these skills in my daily activities. I have since put on numerous equestrian events at a number of facilities. All of which have been a great success!
