A synergistic microbicidal composition having two components. The first component is a nonionic surfactant with structure: RO(CHCH(CH)O)(CHCHO)H, where Ris a Calkyl group. The second component is 4,4-dimethyloxazolidine. The weight ratio of the nonionic surfactant to 4,4-dimethyloxazolidine is from 1:0.0286 to 1:0.1143 or 1:0.32 to 1:0.9143.
