Drum Warming In Petroleum Cokers

View page
US Patent:
6764592, Jul 20, 2004
Filed:
Sep 7, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/949185
Inventors:
Kazem Ganji - Norman OK, 73072
International Classification:
C10G 900
US Classification:
208131, 202 96
Abstract:
A method of producing petroleum coke in a petroleum coking system comprising the steps of (a) adding a fluid to a live coking drum while warming a second drum so that additional vapor is provided in the live drum and (b) reducing pressure loss in the live drum by regulating the addition of the fluid based upon a target pressure for the live drum and by regulating the flow of warm-up vapor from the live drum to the second drum based upon a target pressure for the second drum. The flow of warm-up vapor from the live drum to the second drum is preferably conducted via a conduit system having a total length of less than 100 feet.

Delayed Coking Process And Apparatus

US Patent:
7828959, Nov 9, 2010
Filed:
Nov 19, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/942564
Inventors:
Kazem Ganji - Norman OK, US
International Classification:
C10B 55/04
C10G 9/14
US Classification:
208 50, 208125, 208131
Abstract:
A delayed coking process and apparatus which greatly shorten the required duration of the alternating drum fill and decoking cycles and eliminate the need to perform drum quenching, draining, unheading, hydraulic decoking, reheading, pressure testing, and warming procedures in the decoking cycle. In the inventive system, the decoking cycle preferably comprises simply a steamout stage and a coke product draining procedure. The coke product produced in the coking drums is a hot, solid, flowable material from which heat can be recovered for preheating the coker feed and/or producing steam.

Petroleum Coking Process And Apparatus

View page
US Patent:
8512549, Aug 20, 2013
Filed:
Oct 22, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/909929
Inventors:
Kazem Ganji - Norman OK, US
International Classification:
C10G 9/14
C10G 9/18
US Classification:
208131, 196107, 196122, 202241
Abstract:
A process and apparatus for producing solid petroleum coke. The solid petroleum coke product is formed in a coking drum which has a rotatable coke breaking structure installed therein. Quench water or other quench fluid is delivered into the coking drum to quench the coke product and the coke breaking structure is rotated to break up the coke product such that the coke will empty out of the lower end of the coking drum.

Foam Reduction In Petroleum Cokers

View page
US Patent:
61173088, Sep 12, 2000
Filed:
Jul 28, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/123343
Inventors:
Kazem Ganji - Norman OK
International Classification:
C10G 914
US Classification:
208131
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for at least reducing foam formation and expansion in a coking drum and for preventing foamovers. In the invention, a fluid is injected into the upper portion of the coking drum during the coking drum fill cycle in a manner effective for at least reducing pressure swings in the coking drum. The fluid is preferably of a type which provides sufficient vapor in the coking drum when added in accordance with the present invention such that the fluid acts to increase the internal pressure of the coking drum and thus counteracts pressure losses which typically occur in the live drum during the fill cycle. In another aspect of the invention, while vapor from the live drum is used to warm an empty drum operating on a different cycle, the pressure of a condensate drum which receives the vapor from the second drum is maintained in a manner effective for reducing pressure losses in the live drum during the warming operation.

Personalize Pillow

US Patent:
20200100606, Apr 2, 2020
Filed:
Sep 28, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/147230
Inventors:
KAZEM GANJI - Norman OK, US
International Classification:
A47G 9/10
Abstract:
This invention related to a pillow so designed as to allow a person to access internal pillow material to properly rearrange and adjust the density to fit her / his body size and sleeping habitant. This pillow is filled with a special material that reacts with head weight positions and section pockets to fit to relieve pressure on the sleeper's eyes, nose, throat, shoulders and blood vessels and glands of the neck. Several of the most common causes of snoring are eliminated, so a person sleeps more soundly and quietly.
