Retractable Intravenous Tube Organizer

View page
US Patent:
20060020257, Jan 26, 2006
Filed:
Jul 23, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/897542
Inventors:
Joseph Rolland Mambourg - Ann Arbor MI, US
International Classification:
A61B 17/00
US Classification:
606001000
Abstract:
An intravenous tube organizer for use in hospitals. The present invention consists of a base and a retract base. The base contains a retracting mechanism as a means for retracting and extracting the retract base from the base. The base is attached to the retract base via the retracting mechanism and a cord. Both the base and retract base have an exterior clip that is designed to attach the intravenous tube to the respective bases without the crimping or tearing of the intravenous tube. The ultimate advantage of this device is that it allows for safe organization of intravenous tubes while still allowing the patients full mobility.

A mirror reflective element is fixedly attached at the mirror head. An innermost side of the mirror reflective element is attached at a front side of an attachment plate. The mirror reflective element moves in tandem with movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm when the driver of the vehicle operates an electrically-operable actuator. The attachment plate includes wall structure that extends from the front side of the attachment plate and circumscribes and spans the perimeter circumferential edge of the glass substrate and does not encroach onto and does not overlap the front surface of the glass substrate of the exterior mirror reflective element.
