John Theodore was born in Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies. He spent his early years up to six (6) years of age in Trinidad, but has spent the rest of his life in England, whilst also experiencing a period in San Francisco, California. He grew up in London where he studied at Brixton College and Huron University, in the areas of Telecommunications, Computers, and Business Administration. In executive development, he has worked with companies such as, Bank of America, Pacific Bell, Bell Atlantic, Morgan Stanley, Intel, BT, EDS, Nokia, Cisco, IBM, Kraft Foods, in Europe and the U.S.A. He was also involved with key strategic programmes such as ‘Backing Young Britain’ working alongside Department for Works and Pensions. Since 2004, he has been involved with Department for Works and Pensions, covering programmes such as; Start-up business; New Deal - Work Experience for both 18 to 25 year olds, and 25+ year olds. He is currently serving as an Employment Advisor in London. He is also involved in social networking development which looks at how industries, business models, and organisational boundaries change over time: the new strategic dynamics of changing "industry architectures". This arena also considers how technology, competition and deregulation can reshape sectors, changing "who does what" (roles) and, as a result, "who takes what" (profits or sector dominance). The aim is to assist firms re-engineer their business processes, whilst reshaping their strategies and rethinking of their sector. His main interest involves the policy challenges that changes in industry architecture entail. Specifically, considering why the current financial crisis came about, with the nature of the financial services sector changing without anyone noticing, and what as a society will be done in order to recover from the current dilemma. Through his continuing research, he networks with business owners, industry professionals to help navigate a changing environment by helping them craft their strategy.
