12/179789
Inventors:
Robert Wayne MCBRIDE - Springfield MO, US
Siz-Pin Lin - Fengyuan, TW
John Buse - Houston MO, US
Robert D. McDonial - Ozark MO, US
Tyler Rogers - Springfield MO, US
Assignee:
Stamina Products, Inc. - Springfield MO
International Classification:
A63B 23/02
US Classification:
482140
Abstract:
An abdominal exercise device is disclosed that includes a frame and a knee support configured to support both of a user's knees when the user is in a kneeled position. In one embodiment, the knee support is pivotally mounted to the frame. In another embodiment, the knee support swings with respect to the frame. A hand grip is attached to the frame. A user will kneel on the pivotally mounted knee support and grip the hand grip with their hands. By holding the hand grip, the user holds their upper body in a relatively stationary position with respect to the frame. Then, by contracting their abdominal muscles, the user can pivot the knee support upon which their knees rest up toward the can support, thereby providing their abdominal muscles with a work out.

US Classification:
482 57
Abstract:
An exercise device includes a support frame configured to contact a support surface, and a cycler coupled to the frame. The cycler is configured to move with respect to the frame between a first position so as to be engaged by hands of a user of the exercise device, and a second position so as to be engaged by feet of the user. The exerciser also includes a lock configured to lock the cycler relative to the frame in the first and second positions. In an embodiment, the cycler is mounted on a movable frame that moves with respect to the support frame. In an embodiment, the movable frame is pivotally mounted to the support frame, such as to pivot generally parallel to the support frame, or generally across the support frame. In an embodiment, the movable frame is configured to slidably move up and down the support frame.

Method To Automatically Control Thread Tension

View page
US Patent:
20160305054, Oct 20, 2016
Filed:
Apr 19, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/132600
Inventors:
- West Plains MO, US
John Ray Buse - Houston MO, US
International Classification:
D05B 47/04
Abstract:
The present invention relates to automatically controlling the tension of thread sewn while operating a sewing machine The system for controlling the tension of thread being used includes a wheel or other gripping mechanism that is in mechanical communication with a motor. When voltage and/or current is provided to the motor via electronic circuitry, the motor “pulls” on the thread with the desired force in a direction opposite to how the thread normally flows. The voltage and/or current delivered to the motor may be adjusted by a user. When the motor pulls on a thread to provide tension, the tension may be maintained independently of the sliding friction of the thread. As such, the tension is very accurate and repeatable, and provides for a tension that cannot be achieved with currently existing sewing machines.
