Systems And Methods For Robotic Vehicle Retrieval

View page
US Patent:
20200101496, Apr 2, 2020
Filed:
Sep 27, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/585786
Inventors:
- Bentonville AR, US
Jeremy L. Velten - Bella Vista AR, US
International Classification:
B07C 3/02
B65G 1/04
B65G 1/137
G06Q 10/08
G05D 1/02
Abstract:
A robotic vehicle retrieval system that includes an automated sorting system and robotic vehicles configured to carry items in a facility is discussed. The automated sorting system is configured to instruct the robotic vehicles to retrieve items of a particular type at a pick-up location of the automated sorting system on demand and then retreat from the pick-up location as needed until each robotic vehicle is carrying a specified quantity of items of an item type. Upon reaching the specified quantity of items, the robotic vehicles deliver the items to designated locations in the facility.

Mobile Assembly Apparatus

US Patent:
20200041977, Feb 6, 2020
Filed:
Aug 2, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/530572
Inventors:
- Bentonville AR, US
Jeremy L. Velten - Bella Vista AR, US
Amy Savaiinaea - Bentonville AR, US
International Classification:
G05B 19/406
G06F 16/903
G05B 19/4155
Abstract:
A mobile assembly apparatus and a method of assembling a retail product utilizing a retail assembly are discussed. The mobile assembly apparatus may include a cabinet structure, an expandable work surface, a frame, wheels, an articulated arm, outrigger supports, a power supply, sensors, a hardware dispenser, and a computing device. The mobile assembly apparatus scans a machine readable identifier and retrieves assembly instructions for an item associated with the identifier. The computing device controls the outrigger supports and extendable surface based on the instructions. The computing device monitors the progress of the assembly of the time and validates the assembly based on assembly data from the sensors.

Systems And Methods For Automated Product Sorting And Order Fulfillment Using Drones Within A Facility

View page
US Patent:
20200010273, Jan 9, 2020
Filed:
Jul 3, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/502229
Inventors:
- Bentonville AR, US
Jeremy L. Velten - Bella Vista AR, US
International Classification:
B65G 1/137
Abstract:
Exemplary embodiments describe a system, a method and computer-readable medium for fulfilling orders. Embodiments include a server, an automated sorting system and a drone. The automated sorting system determines an item is associated with an online order based on scanning an identifier affixed to the item and the order data stored at the server. The automated sorting system determines the status for the order associated with the item. If the order is in-process, then the automated sorting system transmits instructions to the drone to transport the item to the location of the order container associated with the order. If the order is pending, then the automated sorting system sorts the item into a container, and scans and associates the container identifier with the order.

System And Method For Automated Product Sorting And Coordinated Delivery Using Autonomous Delivery Vehicles Within A Facility

View page
US Patent:
20190367278, Dec 5, 2019
Filed:
May 30, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/426853
Inventors:
- Bentonville AR, US
Jeremy Velten - Bella Vista AR, US
International Classification:
B65G 1/137
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and machine readable media are provided for automated product sorting and coordinated delivery using autonomous delivery vehicles within a facility. In exemplary embodiments, a system scans machine readable identifiers affixed to items, and sorts the items into two or more categories. A selected item is identified as scheduled to be picked up in-facility based on the scanning of the machine-readable identifier. An optimal route within the facility from the automated sorting device to a tower apparatus is determined for the a selected autonomous delivery vehicle based at least in part on at least one of facility traffic patterns, locations of other autonomous delivery vehicles, a number of items to be delivered, and additional tasks that can be performed by the selected autonomous delivery vehicle while delivering the item. The selected autonomous delivery vehicle navigates along the optimal route to the tower apparatus to deliver the selected item to the tower apparatus.

System And Method For Processing Of Designated Items In A Facility

View page
US Patent:
20190370745, Dec 5, 2019
Filed:
May 30, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/426950
Inventors:
- Bentonville AR, US
Jeremy Velten - Bella Vista AR, US
International Classification:
G06Q 10/08
G06K 7/14
G06F 16/22
H04N 7/18
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and machine-readable media are provided for processing of designated items in a facility. In exemplary embodiments, data is received from the scanning of a machine-readable identifier affixed to a first item and that type of item is identified as requiring special handling based on the data and unique criteria derived for the facility. The unique criteria are based at least in part on historical loss data associated with the facility. The item is placed in a secure storage location and one or more images taken by an imaging device of the designated item located in the secure storage location are taken. The images of the designated item in the secure storage location are associated with a record for the designated item in a database.
