Satellite Support And Method Of Use

View page
US Patent:
20060119531, Jun 8, 2006
Filed:
Dec 7, 2004
Appl. No.:
11/006517
Inventors:
James Corpier - Clifton TX, US
David Rhudy - Gatesville TX, US
International Classification:
H01Q 3/02
US Classification:
343882000, 343787000
Abstract:
An improved satellite structure device having a plate member, a connecting member and an elongate member. The plate member is extremely versatile in that it is configured to securely fit along any number of rooflines. Also, configuration of the support device provides for easy adaptation to different rooflines with no modification to the overall support device. The connecting member extends between the plate member and elongate member. Finally, the elongate member engages with any standard satellite and allows the satellite to be freely and fully adjusted. Use of the present invention eliminates the need for the typically relied upon “j-pole.”

US Patent:
6460821, Oct 8, 2002
Filed:
Nov 20, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/716256
Inventors:
David Andrew Rhudy - Gatesville TX, 76528
James David Corpier - Clifton TX, 76634
International Classification:
H01Q 112
US Classification:
248534, 248300, 248237, 343878
Abstract:
The DSS Uni-Mount is a Ââ aluminum plate which is designed to mount a standard DSS (small dish) mounting arm to the gable end or hip edge of most residences or structures. This device virtually eliminates the need for roof penetrations in order to mount a DSS satellite dish. The top of the DSS Uni-Mount is machined at a roof angle of and is designed for application to the gable end of a structure. It accommodates roof pitches from thru The bottom is cut at 90Â to the sides thus enabling mounting to flat or hip portion of the roof line by inversion of the unit. A total of eight â diameter holes are drilled thru the Uni-Mount in strategic places to allow the installer to match the DSS mounting arm holes with the DSS Uni-Mount plate. Lag bolts and machine bolts are then screwed thru and to the DSS Uni-Mount in order to secure the DSS mounting arm to the gable or eaves of the roofline. The plate also accommodates the mounting of a dual grounding block, which enables electrical grounding of both the satellite antenna/mounting arm bracket and coax cable at a common junction point.
