US Classification:
472 14, 472135, 482 66, 297137
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a children's exercise and activity apparatus for providing cognitive development activities for small children and exercise functionality. The apparatus includes an activity table adapted for receiving one or more children's activity items, a seat for supporting a child above the floor, a connecting beam for connecting the seat to the activity table, and one or more legs connected to and depending downwardly from the seat to the floor to support the seat and prevent the seat from tipping over when a child is supported therein. The seat has a pair of leg openings that allow the child to touch the floor with its legs, and the connecting beam is rotatably connected to the activity table so that the child in the seat can travel in an orbital path around the activity table.

International Classification:
A63G 1/12
US Classification:
472 14, 472135, 482 66, 297137
Abstract:
Various embodiments are directed to a children's exercise and activity apparatus. The apparatus includes an activity table, a seat, a connecting beam for connecting the seat to the activity table, and one or more legs connected to and depending downwardly from the seat to the floor to support the seat and prevent the seat from tipping over when a child is supported therein. The seat has a pair of leg openings that allow the child to touch the floor with its legs, and the connecting beam is rotatably connected to the activity table so that the child in the seat can travel in an orbital path around the activity table. In addition, the angular rotation of the seat may be limited to prevent the child from rotating the seat to a point at which the child could walk along the floor and move the apparatus along with the child.

Stationary Child Exercise Apparatus

US Patent:
7614979, Nov 10, 2009
Filed:
Mar 31, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/396408
Inventors:
John Matthew Thomson - Dahlonega GA, US
Stephen R. Burns - Cumming GA, US
Jacob M. Sclare - Dacula GA, US
James E. Cartabiano - Gainesville GA, US
Assignee:
Kids II, Inc. - Alpharetta GA
International Classification:
A63B 22/00
A63G 9/00
US Classification:
482 69, 472118
Abstract:
Various embodiments of the invention are directed to a stationary exercise apparatus for providing exercise functionality for small children that includes first and second upper frame members and first and second base frame members that are coupled to first and second stationary hubs, an activity table, a seat, and one or more resilient members that suspend the activity table and seat between the upper frame members. The upper frame members extend upwardly and in a radially outward direction from the stationary hubs, and the base frame members extend downwardly and in a radially outward direction from the stationary hubs to engage a support surface. The one or more resilient members have a resiliency that allows a child within the apparatus to bounce vertically relative to the support surface in response to the child pushing its legs against the support surface.

US Patent:
7740560, Jun 22, 2010
Filed:
May 24, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/136158
Inventors:
Jeffrey S. Tadin - Canton GA, US
Stephen R. Burns - Cumming GA, US
Jacob M. Sclare - Dacula GA, US
James E. Cartabiano - Gainesville GA, US
Assignee:
Kids II, Inc. - Alpharetta GA
International Classification:
A63B 5/11
US Classification:
482 27
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a stationary exercise apparatus for small children. The apparatus includes an activity table adapted for receiving one or more children's activity items, one or more legs, a seat supported by the legs, and a resilient support surface suspended generally horizontally from at least one of the legs. The seat has a pair of leg openings that allow the child to touch the resilient support surface with its legs, and the resilient support surface has a resiliency that allows the child to bounce vertically by pushing its legs downwardly against the resilient support surface. Furthermore, the distance between the resilient support surface and the seat can be increased or decreased to account for the height of the child placed within the apparatus by moving the resilient support surface, and a tension element of the resilient support surface can be adjusted to account for the child's strength.

US Patent:
20080078335, Apr 3, 2008
Filed:
Dec 3, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/949319
Inventors:
Mary Bush - Santa Rosa Beach FL, US
James Cartabiano - Willington CT, US
Assignee:
Blue Ridge International Products Company - Freeport FL
International Classification:
A62B 35/00
US Classification:
119770000
Abstract:
Convertible travel tether devices for children. A convertible tether device includes a wearable accessory suitable for extended use by a relatively older child, a harness, and a detachable tether. The detachable tether is employed when the child is relatively younger, and the wearable accessory is worn by itself when the child is relatively older without use of the tether, thus providing extended use beyond the need to use the device as a harness. When a child is tethered, the appearance of the devices encourages a child to feel as if he or she is wearing a “big boy” or a “big girl” accessory.

Treehouse Play Set With Elevator Platform And Extendable Branch Members

View page
US Patent:
57228744, Mar 3, 1998
Filed:
Sep 9, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/707837
Inventors:
Gregory R. Horton - Manville RI
James Cartabiano - Cumberland RI
Nancy Lavey - Wakefield RI
Assignee:
Hasbro, Inc. - Pawtucket RI
International Classification:
A63H 3300
US Classification:
446476
Abstract:
A treehouse play set for use with action figures includes a tree-shaped base having a hollow trunk portion and a treehouse platform attached to the trunk portion, and further includes an elevator which is slidably movable on the exterior surface of the trunk portion between a first lowered position wherein the elevator is adjacent a supporting surface and a second raised position wherein the elevator is generally co-planar with the treehouse platform. The play set further includes a tree-growing mechanism disposed within the trunk portion to simulate growing action of the tree when the elevator is moved from the lowered position to the raised position. The tree growing mechanism includes a plurality of elongate branch members which are attached to the top portion of a piston which is slidably received within the trunk portion of the base. The piston is slidably movable within the trunk portion between a first lowered position wherein the branch members are generally disposed within the trunk portion, and a second raised position wherein the branch members extend upwardly and outwardly from the upper end of the trunk portion. The elevator is coupled to the piston wherein movement of the elevator between the lowered and raised positions causes corresponding movement of the piston between the lowered and raised positions.
