McClure Award for Outstanding National Paper by Master's Student
Author: "Professional Sports Subsidy as Economic Development". Analysis of the impact of professional sports franchises on seven California cities, and assessment of the effectiveness of publicly funding the construction of sports stadiums as an economic development strategy. The findings of the report received international coverage in the newspaper, radio, and television media.
