Assignee:
ProAct Services Corporation - Ludington MI
International Classification:
C02F 9/00
US Classification:
210663, 210691, 210673, 210202
Abstract:
A system and method for the treatment of wastewater. In one aspect, the invention can be a method for treating wastewater comprising: a) introducing untreated wastewater into a holding tank: b) flowing the untreated wastewater into a first wastewater treatment trailer to provide a first treatment regimen to the untreated wastewater to form a first treated wastewater c) flowing the first treated wastewater into a second wastewater treatment trailer to provide a second treatment regimen to the first treated wastewater to form a second treated wastewater; and wherein the holding tank, the first wastewater treatment trailer and the second wastewater treatment trailer are fluidly coupled together to facilitate flow of the untreated wastewater from the holding tank into the first wastewater treatment trailer and flow of the first treated wastewater from the first Wastewater treatment trailer into the second wastewater treatment trailer.

Inventors:
Frank Leslie Smiddy - Ludington MI, US
International Classification:
C02F 1/52
US Classification:
210723, 2101981
Abstract:
A system and method for the treatment of wastewater. In one aspect, the invention can be a method of treating wastewater comprising: a) flowing the wastewater along an axis; b) injecting a polymer into the wastewater at multiple injection points to flocculate suspended solids within the wastewater, the multiple injection points arranged in a circumferentially spaced apart manner about the axis; and c) removing the flocculated suspended solids from the wastewater to form a treated water. In another aspect, the invention can be a system for flocculating suspended solids in wastewater comprising: a conduit through which wastewater flows along an axis; a plurality of nozzles operably coupled to a source of a first polymer; and the plurality of nozzles arranged in a circumferentially spaced apart manner about the axis, the plurality of nozzles operably coupled to the conduit to inject the first polymer into the wastewater flowing through the conduit.

Abstract:
A system and method for the treatment of wastewater. In one aspect, the invention can be a method of treating wastewater comprising: a) introducing wastewater having a first turbidity level into a wastewater treatment system; b) injecting an aqueous polymer mixture into the wastewater to flocculate suspended solids within the wastewater; c) removing the flocculated suspended solids from the wastewater to form a treated water having a second turbidity, the second turbidity being lower than the first turbidity; and wherein the aqueous polymer mixture of step b) is formed by introducing a raw polymer into a re-circulated portion of the treated water.

Filed:
Nov 26, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/199841
Inventors:
- Pittsburgh PA, US
Frank Leslie Smiddy - Thompsonville MI, US
Kyle Kirker - New Era MI, US
Assignee:
Evoqua Water Technologies LLC - Pittsburgh PA
International Classification:
F02M 13/08
F02D 35/00
F02M 7/10
F16K 37/00
G01M 15/10
F01N 3/10
F02D 41/00
F02D 41/02
Abstract:
A system for combusting volatile vapors includes a carburetor having intake valves for receiving base fuel from a fuel source, ambient combustion air, and volatile vapors from a vapor source. A plurality of sensors measure and generate sensor data based on a respective plurality of physical properties associated with the carburetor and associate combustion engine operation. One or more programmable controllers receive the sensor data and control the intake valves to regulate respective ratios of the fuel, air, volatile vapors drawn through the carburetor based on the received sensor data. To increase the burn of volatile vapors, an engine loading system automatically operated by the controller(s) applies an automatically adjustable braking load on the engine. The load level applied is based on the sensor data and commensurate with maintaining stable engine running conditions. The loading system decreases time necessary to remediate a site.
