Councilman Frank Commisso Jr., chairman of the Common Council's finance committee, said he expected city lawmakers would sign off on Sheehan's request to go before the state panel, calling it "a very logical move."
At the same time, Commisso's father, County Legislature Democratic Majority Leader Frank Commisso Sr., did not as swiftly embrace McCoy's request to take the county in the same direction, noting its finances are robust enough that it does not automatically qualify for the panel's help.
