US Patent:
20190238729, Aug 1, 2019
Filed:
Apr 11, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/381553
Inventors:
- San Mateo CA, US
Evan L. Coons - San Mateo CA, US
Joshua P. Davies - Fremont CA, US
William H. Tolbert - San Mateo CA, US
Nicholas Streets - San Francisco CA, US
International Classification:
H04N 5/225
G03B 17/56
G03B 17/08
G03B 17/02
H04N 5/232
Abstract:
A housing for a camera includes a housing body having four adjacent walls forming a band. The camera is compressibly secured within the band, each wall in an adjacent pair of walls is coupled via a rounded corner, and an opening is defined in one wall of the housing body. The opening is configured to allow a user of the camera to access a user interface of the camera when the camera is secured into the housing body. The housing includes a latching mechanism coupling two adjacent walls of the housing body and a mounting mechanism extending from a wall of the housing body and configured to secure the housing to a reciprocal mounting mechanism.

Head Mounted Projection Display With Multilayer Beam Splitter And Color Correction

View page
US Patent:
20180004002, Jan 4, 2018
Filed:
Jun 30, 2017
Appl. No.:
15/638846
Inventors:
- Palo Alto CA, US
Evan COONS - Hayward CA, US
Jeri J. ELLSWORTH - San Jose CA, US
Ken CLEMENTS - Los Gatos CA, US
International Classification:
G02B 27/28
G02B 27/01
G02B 27/42
G02B 17/08
Abstract:
A head mounted projection display includes a polarizing beam splitter stack that includes a waveplate. The polarizing beam splitter stack reduces optical losses and has a low forward extension. The polarizing beam splitter may be used at a 45 degree angle or at a non 45 degree angle relative to the line of view. A correction may be also be performed to the intensity of individual pixels to account for chromatic non-uniformity in the optical response of a retroreflector and other optical components.
