Genetically Modified Isopropylmalate Isomerase Enzyme Complexes And Processes To Prepare Elongated 2-Ketoacids And C5-C10 Compounds Therewith

View page
US Patent:
20200291378, Sep 17, 2020
Filed:
Sep 25, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/650094
Inventors:
- Midland MI, US
Eric C. Shiue - Evanston IL, US
Scott A. Greenwalt - Indianapolis IN, US
Assignee:
Dow Global Technologies LLC - Midland MI
International Classification:
C12N 9/88
C12P 7/42
Abstract:
Genetically modified isopropylmalate isomerase enzyme complexes (e.g., LeuCD′ enzyme complexes), microbial organisms including genetically modified isopropylmalate isomerase enzyme complexes (e.g., LeuCD′), and processes for preparing C-C2-ketoacids with genetically modified isopropylmalate isomerase enzyme complexes (e.g., LeuCD′). The genetically modified isopropylmalate isomerase enzyme complexes (e.g., LeuCD′ enzyme complexes), microbial organisms, and processes for preparing C-C2-ketoacids can be used to produce C-Caldehydes, alkanes, alcohols, and carboxylic acids, both in vivo and in vitro.

C12N 9/02
C12N 9/88
C12P 7/04
C12P 7/24
C12P 5/02
Abstract:
Genetically modified LeuCD′ enzyme complexes, processes for preparing a C-C2-ketoacid utilizing genetically modified LeuCD′ enzyme complexes, and microbial organisms including modified LeuCD enzyme complexes are described. The instantly-disclosed genetically modified LeuCD′ enzyme complexes, processes for preparing a C-C2-ketoacid, and microbial organisms including modified LeuCD′ enzyme complexes can be particularly useful for producing C-Caldehydes, alkanes, alcohols, and carboxylic acids, both in vivo and in vitro.
