Abstract:
A plurality of lamp arrays (A-N) provide uniform lighting across the copy area of a billboard sign. The arrays () are arranged end-to-end horizontally along the length of the copy area. Each array () comprises a plurality of LEDs (A-N) and a plurality of lenses (A-M). The various lenses () direct and focus the light from the LEDs () at the various parts of the copy area so as to minimize dark and light spots. A “TOP” set of LEDs preferably illuminates the top part of the copy area, a “MIDDLE” set of LEDs preferably illuminates the middle of the copy area, and “FILLER” LEDs preferably serve to illuminate the bottom of the copy area. The lamp arrays are preferably mounted to a catwalk () at the bottom of the billboard.

Abstract:
A signage system comprising a prism-shaped tri-panel louver having a slot at each corner into which can be slid a clip. The clip is generally V-shaped with a pair of opposing sides joined at one end to form an apex. At the apex end is a pair of opposing fingers which are generally parallel to the clip sides. The fingers form a slot on each side. The clip is slid and retained by a friction fit within the slot such that when three clips are installed the fingers and slots formed therein can hold the sign graphics strip. The clip can flex somewhat to allow for insertion in a slot in the louver.
