View page
US Patent:
41801903, Dec 25, 1979
Filed:
May 13, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/796756
Inventors:

A partially completed bag of seamed panel construction is placed with the port extending into the bag. When vacuum is applied, the bag is passed through the port, being thereby turned inside out. A pneumatically-controlled door enables access to the chamber for removal of the bag.

Modular Bean Bag Seating Devices

View page
US Patent:
41791584, Dec 18, 1979
Filed:
Dec 19, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/861830
Inventors:
Dennis M. Flaum - Chicago IL
H. Lawrence Fleishman - Lincolnwood IL
International Classification:
A47C 1300
A47C 1500
US Classification:
297118
Abstract:
A modular bean bag seating device includes a pedestal, and cushion which rests atop the pedestal. Each module is partially stuffed with a filling material allowing each module to substantially maintain its respective shape. The cushion is detachably secured to the pedestal by interconnectable strips which are positioned about the periphery of each module. One portion of the interconnectable strip is affixed to the pedestal while the second portion is affixed to the cushion. Each portion of the interconnectable strip can be a slide fastener ribbon having a series of interconnectable elements; the two modules are then secured to one another by the use of a slider. The pedestal and cushion modules are interchangable as long as the interconnectable strips are similarly oriented.

Process For Cutting And Assembling Multiple Paneled Toy Constructions

View page
US Patent:
40830950, Apr 11, 1978
Filed:
May 13, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/796757
Inventors:
Dennis Michael Flaum - Chicago IL
Herman Lawrence Fleishman - Lincolnwood IL
International Classification:
B23P 1700
US Classification:
29416
Abstract:
A method for manufacture of bag-like toy constructions assembled from individual vinyl panels. Designs, comprising the artwork on each individual panel, are printed continuously on vinyl sheets in precisely reproducible and spaced sequence. Each vinyl sheet has indexing and registration marks printed along opposed edges. After printing, a plurality of said vinyl sheets are stacked and fastened together in registered alignment. Templates are then utilized to outline each individual panel on the uppermost vinyl sheet. A cutting tool is then used to cut all sheets simultaneously along the template lines. The resulting panels are then seamed together with the printed design face of each panel facing outward, forming a completed toy construction.

Zipper Construction

View page
US Patent:
41125568, Sep 12, 1978
Filed:
Sep 14, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/833003
Inventors:
Dennis Michael Flaum - Chicago IL
Herman Lawrence Fleishman - Lincolnwood IL
International Classification:
A44B 1934
A44B 1900
US Classification:
242051R
Abstract:
A dual zipper construction provides a double closure to discourage opening of the zippered enclosure. The zippers co-extend, one above the other, with the upper zipper closing in a direction opposite that of the lower zipper. Each zipper has its engaging surface mounted on a pair of flaps, with one flap being longer than the other. When assembled, the longer flap on the upper zipper overlies the shorter flap on the lower zipper thus offsetting the opening and closing tabs of the two zippers, facilitating closure.
