Systems And Methods For Controlling, Monitoring, And Using Remote Applications

View page
US Patent:
20060250578, Nov 9, 2006
Filed:
May 4, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/418310
Inventors:
Garrick Pohl - Holland MI, US
Corbin Collet - Saugatuck MI, US
Sylvester Bentley - Holland MI, US
International Classification:
A61B 3/14
US Classification:
351210000
Abstract:
A system for controlling, monitoring, and using remote applications. The system includes a mobile communications device in communication with plural gateways to plural environments having plural applications and remote devices. The control software of the mobile communications device provides a graphic user interface (GUI) that presents a multi-environment menu having icons for the plural environments, single environment menus having icons for applications within each single environment, and application submenus having icons for application messages (e.g., commands and/or other options) for each application. The gateway for each environment provides two-way communication between the mobile communications device and the remote devices.

Visor Control

View page
US Patent:
59675888, Oct 19, 1999
Filed:
Jun 19, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/099972
Inventors:
Corbin L. Collet - Holland MI
Kenneth D. Kreuze - Holland MI
Michael L. Lanser - Holland MI
Assignee:
Prince Corporation - Holland MI
International Classification:
B60J 300
US Classification:
296 9711
Abstract:
A vehicle visor having a pivot rod or a slip tube with a torque control disposed therein. The pivot rod or slip tube surface is provided with a layer of hardened material on the external surface to improve the wear and abrasion resistance of the pivot rod or slip tube surface in contact with the torque control. A preferred embodiment for the hardened material layer is a hard coat anodized surface layer on an aluminum pivot rod or slip tube.

Sliding Visor

View page
US Patent:
59675870, Oct 19, 1999
Filed:
Mar 18, 1997
Appl. No.:
8/826432
Inventors:
Corbin L. Collet - Holland MI
Jay B. Price - Holland MI
Assignee:
Prince Corporation - Holland MI
International Classification:
B60J 302
US Classification:
296 9711
Abstract:
The visor system of the present invention provides a unique visor control and visor in which a two-piece control receives an elongated pivot rod. The combined torque control and slide permit the visor panel to slide with respect to the pivot rod and comprises a lubricous polymeric slide which extends around the visor rod to provide a sliding interface between the visor rod and a torque spring which surrounds the polymeric member and allows the visor to be moved to desired adjusted positions. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the slide comprises a segmented and partially split polymeric sleeve surrounding the visor rod. An adjustable cylindrical steel torque spring surrounds the sleeve and is secured to the visor body for providing the desired visor rotation and sliding action.

Vanity Mirror Assembly

View page
US Patent:
56856296, Nov 11, 1997
Filed:
Sep 29, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/315148
Inventors:
Ronald L. Hemmeke - Holland MI
Corbin L. Collet - Holland MI
Assignee:
Prince Corporation - Holland MI
International Classification:
F21V 3300
B60Q 302
US Classification:
362140
Abstract:
A vanity mirror assembly electrical circuit includes stamped conductors with projections for affixing the conductors to a rigid insulative backing member. In a preferred embodiment, the backing member further serves to support the vanity mirror in a frame assembly. In a preferred embodiment, the projections comprise rosettes which mount the conductors to a fiberboard backing member.

Multiple Function Visor

View page
US Patent:
58104216, Sep 22, 1998
Filed:
Sep 16, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/714641
Inventors:
Jesse Kalkman - Holland MI
Corbin L. Collet - Holland MI
Assignee:
Prince Corporation - Holland MI
International Classification:
B60J 302
US Classification:
296 975
Abstract:
A visor system includes a pair of opposed, facing visor panels, each of which are pivotally mounted to a vehicle roof by a pivot rod assembly in opposed, facing relationship. The length of the visor panels is selected to be substantially less than typical visor panels such that they intersect at a junction approximately midway between the visor mounting brackets. Each of the visor panels can be moved independently for front and side window protection and include interlocking means such that, if desired, they can function as a single visor. In one embodiment of the invention, at least one of the visor panels is slideably moved along the pivot rod.

Extruded Visor Control

View page
US Patent:
61740195, Jan 16, 2001
Filed:
Feb 26, 1998
Appl. No.:
9/031405
Inventors:
Corbin L. Collet - Holland MI
James B. Price - Holland MI
John P. Maurer - West Olive MI
Assignee:
Prince Corporation - Holland MI
International Classification:
B60J 302
US Classification:
296 9711
Abstract:
A slide assembly for a sliding visor includes a sleeve which is concentrically positioned around a visor pivot rod and a polymeric slide extruded in situ with between the sleeve and pivot rod and extending along at least a portion of the sleeve to provide a sliding lubricous polymeric interface between the pivot rod and sleeve. The sleeve, in turn, is mounted to the visor body with a torque control allowing controlled rotation of the visor with respect to the pivot rod. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sleeve is keyed to prevent rotation of the slide and pivot rod with respect to the sleeve, and the visor body includes stops for limiting the motion of the visor body and sleeve with respect to the fixed pivot rod mounted to the vehicle.
