About:
“One of the companies to watch for in 2009 for growth and overall customer satisfaction.” That’s how RISMedia.com describes Scranton’s own Hibble and Associates. The laudatory review is not surprising, considering that the company’s president, Charles Hibble, was named one of the top business professionals in 2006 in the Scranton area after just one year in business. When Hibble and his wife wanted to start their own business, they did their research first. Impressed with the representatives they met from Weichert Realtors, based in New Jersey, they decided to become part of this winning and growing real estate team. In April 2006, Charles Hibble joined the Weichert family of franchises and opened Hibble & Associates. Hibble is fully committed to providing what the company calls “The Weichert Difference,” which he describes as “a higher level of service that will make your real estate experience as easy and stress free as possible.” Such service includes a “Neighborhood Specialist’s” familiarity with local communities, home values, and price trends and a commitment to help clients leverage Weichert’s many resources. Throughout the entire process, clients can expect personal and knowledgeable service, advice, and guidance that is genuinely responsive to their needs. Hibble and Associates uses the latest technology to help clients with their real estate needs. Hibble earned his e-pro certification in 2007 and quickly put his designation as an “e-pro internet professional” to work. “You can be assured that we work hard to give our clients the best service and most exposure to get their homes sold fast,” he says. And when Charles Hibble promises exposure, he means it. Not only does Hibble & Associates have a web presence, they are all over the Internet: MySpace, Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, and Google. Hibble is quick to add that his is the only real estate company in the area to advertise client homes on NewYorkTimes.com and TheWallStreetJournal.com, along with more than 80 other real estate websites. Some might say that to advertise on such a grand, national level as the New York Times and The Wall Street Journal is a bit much. Not if you view Scranton the way Hibble does. Consider the area’s four seasons, beautiful mountains, and strong sense of community. “I like the community pride, and the up-and-coming area of downtown – this is a great place to buy real estate,” he says. “It’s nice to see other businesses coming to town and staying in town.” Open houses are another way Hibble and Associates stands out from the crowd. “It’s not just an open door,” says Hibble. “It’s an event” – one planned in detail a full 10 days beforehand. Private invitations are extended to neighbors in the general area, even including phone calls. Advertisement online and in a variety of outlets begins a week before the event, and professional flyers are created and distributed broadly. Eight open house signs with two balloons each are then displayed for the event. Nationwide, 73 percent of all home buyers visit at least one open house. Hibble’s numbers show that three out of every 10 open house events they have lead directly to a sale. Maintaining a sense of community, Hibble and Associates supports the Scranton Rescue Mission, helping the poor and homeless in the area. They also partner with Toys for Tots and other charities in and around Scranton. Helping people is the name of the game for Hibble and his team, so when a client is headed toward foreclosure, they do everything possible to help avoid it. As part of Weichert Realtors, Hibble puts to work all the resources available to him to make short sales for those struggling with economic difficulties. Like so many industries, the real estate market must stay fresh to remain solvent in economic downturns. Charles Hibble understands this. He recently became a Certified Residential Specialist and was awarded his CRS designation. Continually gaining knowledge is another way to remain on the cutting edge – and keep Hibble and Associates on the radar as “one of the companies to watch.”
