Philosophy:
My name is Caroline Schumacher and I am a licensed professional counselor. I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults overcoming major life events. I work from a systemic, strength based model and believe that the most powerful way to achieve change is to work as a team. I partner with clients (and/or their parents, in case of minor clients) to set and evaluate therapeutic goals. I have a background in working with children and families recovering from trauma and abuse; and have specific training in EMDR and play therapy. My master's degree is in clinical and school counseling and is from University of Northern Colorado. I approach my work with honesty, humility and most importantly, a sense of humor.
