Graphical User Interface For Determining Speaker Spatialization Parameters

View page
US Patent:
20040264704, Dec 30, 2004
Filed:
Jun 10, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/865564
Inventors:
Camille Huin - Cambridge MA, US
Miguel Chavez - Cambridge MA, US
Jesse Remignanti - Reading MA, US
International Classification:
H04R029/00
H04R005/00
US Classification:
381/059000, 381/018000
Abstract:
A system for determining speaker spatialization parameters. The system includes a graphical interface allowing a user to select a number of listeners, number of speakers, and a listening space and for graphically displaying on a display device the one or more listeners and one or more speakers within the listening space. The system further includes a speaker spatialization module for determining one or more speaker spatialization parameters based upon the relative positions on the display device of the one or more listeners and the one or more speakers within the listening space system. The user may reposition the speakers and for each speaker that is repositioned the speaker spatialization module recalculates the speaker spatialization parameters for that speaker. The user may also graphically reposition one of the listeners and the speaker spatialization module recalculates all of the speaker spatialization parameters for all of the speakers.

US Patent:
20040268300, Dec 30, 2004
Filed:
Jun 10, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/865561
Inventors:
Camille Huin - Cambridge MA, US
Miguel Chavez - Cambridge MA, US
International Classification:
G06F009/44
US Classification:
717/107000
Abstract:
A computer program product and method for using a computer program product for graphically developing a computer program for execution at least in part on a separate host processor device, such as, a digital signal processor. The computer program product includes code for providing a graphical programming environment. The computer code which is used for developing the computer program includes a cell module for graphically representing a graphical control. The cell module does not contain any host processor specific code. The cell module may include code for rendering on the display of the computer that is operating as the programming environment one or more graphical controls. The cell module may also contain host processor independent code that accepts input from a user (parameter value) and converts the parameter value or applies an equation to the parameter value. The computer program also includes a plurality of algorithm modules, wherein each algorithm module provides functional code for the graphical control. The functional code is host processor specific code. The computer program also includes computer code for associating the cell module with one or more of the plurality of algorithm modules for developing the computer program. The computer program also includes code for defining an execution path amongst the algorithm modules. This can be achieved by graphically connecting the cell modules and defining an input and output.

US Patent:
20050010900, Jan 13, 2005
Filed:
Jun 10, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/865562
Inventors:
Camille Huin - Cambridge MA, US
Miguel Chavez - Cambridge MA, US
International Classification:
G06F009/44
US Classification:
717109000, 717113000, 717116000
Abstract:
A method and computer program product for adding additional functionality to a graphical control for use in a computer program. The method requires providing a graphical control that is displayable on a display device where the graphical control has at least one associated input or one associated output. Initially, the graphical control does not have an associated function. A user can then select a function from a list of functions to associate with the graphical control. The list of functions is associated with computer code for implementing the functions on a particular digital signal processor. The computer system determines whether a new input or output needs to be added to the graphical control based upon a selected function from the list of functions. The computer system also determines if the graphical control should be stacked or repeated. A plurality of functions may be associated with a single graphical control. In certain embodiments, a plurality of different digital signal processors is associated with a single graphical control.

Graphical User Interface For Changing Parameters

US Patent:
20050262451, Nov 24, 2005
Filed:
Sep 29, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/953405
Inventors:
Jesse Remignanti - Reading MA, US
Camille Huin - Cambridge MA, US
Miguel Chavez - Cambridge MA, US
International Classification:
G06F003/00
US Classification:
715833000, 715716000
Abstract:
A computer program product and method for changing the value of a parameter within a computer program is disclosed. The computer program provides a single graphical control for user selection and adjustment of a plurality of parameters wherein each parameter is controlled based upon movement of a user input device. At least one of the parameters is adjusted using a non-linear equation. When the user input device is moved within a first region from a defined reference point, the parameter value is not incremented. When the user input device enters a second region the parameter value is incremented at a first rate. As the user input device is moved into a third region the parameter value is incremented at a second rate that is greater than the first rate.
