Abstract:
A light weight, filament wound carbon fiber base tube, with external longitudinal rails of a dissimilar material housing gripping elements and wear strips, all affixed to the outside of the base tube. The wear strips are made from an ultra high molecular weight polymer. The gripping elements are pneumatically driven.
