20070090661, Apr 26, 2007
Filed:
Oct 26, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/259680
Inventors:
Armen Shagbazyan - Glendale CA, US
International Classification:
B62D 33/02
US Classification:
296026090
Abstract:
An extension and ramp assembly for use with the truck beds. The assembly comprises a truck bed floor portion and a cargo bed door portion. The truck bed floor portion mainly includes a plurality of shafts and a motor coupled with a bumper, which provides power to extend and retract the bumper along with the truck bed. The cargo bed door portion mainly includes a cargo bed door that is pivotally attached to the bumper such that it can be moved away from the rear end of the truck bed to form an extension parallel to the truck bed. The truck bed when fully extended can be moved down towards the ground to form a sloping surface. The sloping surface formed by the truck bed in conjunction with the pivotally moved down cargo bed door acts as a ramp-like structure.

Automatic Truck Bed Cover Assembly

View page
US Patent:
20080088151, Apr 17, 2008
Filed:
Oct 13, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/584018
Inventors:
Armen Shagbazyan - Glendale CA, US
International Classification:
B60P 7/02
US Classification:
29610005
Abstract:
A truck bed cover assembly installed over a truck bed comprising a plurality of rigid inverted U-shaped covers, a plurality of tracks located one below the other on sidewalls of the truck bed, two motors and two threaded shafts connected to the motors. The covers include a projecting member extending outwardly from and along the length of its free ends. The covers are of different size and form a telescopic arrangement when their projecting members are received in the tracks. The projecting members on the last cover include a threaded bore for receiving the threaded shafts. When the motors are activated, the rotary motion of the threaded shafts imparts a linear motion to the last cover, which in turn is adapted to pull or push the rest of the covers, thereby covering or uncovering the truck bed.
