I am passionate about green energy and climate change. I was born and raised in a sub Himalayan small town in India. Over the weekends, my dad used to take me to the forests and valleys close by rich in flora and fauna thereby inculcating a love and passion for nature that never left me. After coming to New York, I have been associated with couple of development/advocacy initiatives. The most notable one is with a group of Climate Scientists at the Goddard Institute of Space Science attached to Columbia University's Earth Institute. They have produced an educational version of Global Climate Model that can be used by non technical people and can be done from home computer. This project is geared towards getting school children familiar with the incumbency of the climate change and associated perils. I believe in market based approach to climate change mitigation.
