During Presentation at the India international centre on the subject, had clearly brought out the trajectory of events and the threat to the USA. Soon, as predicted, 9/11 occurred. Same was acknowledged by the then Ambassador of USA. •The Chair of Excellence at the USI-2000-2001.(Research on Space and Military strategy).First work of this kind. Interacted with many scientists and foreign visiting groups. •Awarded the best Essay/military paper by USI-2000 •Drafted the first Nuclear Doctrine, post Pokhran as Director PP(Nuclear Strategy).Was directly involved with Dr Abdul Kalam,(then advisor to RM) in the Targetting plan on potential adversaries. Drafted the first NBC doctrine in1999 and evolved the minimum equipment philosophy to equip the services theatre wise on a priority. The DRDO manufacture philosophy and priority evolved out of it. •Was involved in change of plans of Northern Command during OP Parakram. •Was awarded VISHISHT SENA MEDAL for contributions to the nation as given above. •Was posted as Brig at HQ IDS and raised the Integrated Space Cell. Authored the first Path-breaking document “Space Defense Vision:2020”.The same was validated by the Chiefs of Staff Committee and the blue print is the future trajectory of growth. •Awarded the CISC Commendation card for the above achievement. Visited US Defense Establishments many times to improve mil to mil co-operation and confidence. •Commanded the Siachin Division (3 Infantry Division) and achieved minimum casualties not achieved in the history since 1984. Also ensured that by good strategy and management, the Chinese encroachments are reduced to a level which has not been matched ever earlier .(see two paper clippings-not att ) Awarded the National Greenary Award for greening areas in Ladakh in record time by innovation and cooperation with the FRL located at Leh :2006-2007 Authored following books: oGlobal Armegeddon-Deals with security challenges including WMD Terrorism and their management. This prediction came true with 9/11 happening. oSpace Warfare and Military Strategy-This was followed by raising of a space cell at IDS and authoring the document”SpaceDefense: Vision2020” oNeo-Terrorism:An indian experience-Research done at IDSA. Followed with experience ,application in J&K and validation resulting in the completion of research and the book. Issues post26/11 are already covered in details. PROFFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE An officer commissioned through the prestigious National Defence Academy. Commissioned into Infantry and deployed in the Kargil sector during/after the war. By his personal leadership and under the most trying circumstances in High Altitude terrain, established a post to deny observation to Pakistani troops on the strategic Leh-Srinagar road. Thereafter, very soon was inducted in Naushera Sector of J&K and again established a post under enemy fire . The post was named ‘LAL POST’ to honour bravery. Commanded a unit of 900 men in the terrorist infested area of J&k , Assam and Tirap. The unit earned many awards. The upkeep and maintenance of equipment worth more than 1000 crores was also successfully done. Thereafter, commanded an Independent Brigade against both China and Pakistan .A total strength of about4000 men were equipped and maintained with stores worth more than 1000 crores approximately. The officer was thereafter selected to command the prestigious 3 Infantry Division(50,000 Men) which includes Siachen. The officer faced two enemies , China and Pakistan in the world’s highest battlefield. Successfully carried out change of strategy to get optimum results. Carried out air maintenance of stores worth more than 10000 crores successfully without any wastages due to employment of BEST MANAGEMENT PRACTISES in the roughest terrain in the world. At the headquarters at Delhi was involved in management of National Security issues and macro- planning on many issues like inventory management on nuclear and terrorist affairs. Visited USA and was involved in Talks with Pentagon and Eureopean nations.Was awarded the National Greenery award for management of envioronmental issues at Siachen and Leh/Ladakh.Also earned VishestSena medal and the Commendation card for outstanding service to the nation.
