Athena
Athena San Diego Pinnacle Awards are presented annually to individuals and an organization/company that, through the development and promotion of skilled and talented women, have had a significant impact within the San Diego technology, life science, healthcare, defense, energy, clean-tech and services sectors. There are five award categories: 1) Individual in Technology; 2) Individual in life science; 3) Individual in Services; 4) Individual in Education; and 5) Corporation/Organization/Institute. Athena San Diego is THE organization for executives and middle management women in San Diego's high-tech, biosciences, healthcare, defense, energy, clean-tech and services sectors. What started as an informal network became a structured organization in 1998 and today numbers more than 500 members. Athena's members are renowned for their vision and leadership roles. The group addresses the business issues and challenges confronting women in the executive office.
30th Annual Bronze Telly Award
Telly Awards
The 30th Annual Telly Awards honors outstanding local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, and work created for the web. The video entitled “Fighting Cancer with Nanotechnology” was conceived and directed by Adriana Vela and produced in collaboration with Mindeliver Media, a San Diego-based media company specializing in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and science industries. The project was created on behalf of the NanoTumorCenter, and NIH funded research center, where Adriana served as Principal Investigator for the Educational Programs. The Telly Awards receives over 13,000 entries annually from all 50 states and countries around the world and showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, interactive agencies, and corporate video departments in the world.
