Abstract:
A system and method for connecting flexible circuitry in a disk drive system such as that used in computer systems. The system and method allow a large number of traces to be connected in a small area by forming male and female connector portions at an end of a mating pair of traces. the male and female portions are formed using conventional flexible circuit fabrication techniques, making possible very accurate control of very small built-in type connectors. The connection can be uncoupled and re-coupled, and added security of attachment can be achieved through the use of ultra-sonic bonding and use of a mechanical clamp.

In a disk drive, an interconnect adapter for coupling a head of a suspension assembly to front-end read/write circuitry includes a pad set with a plurality of specially designed pads. The pads are formed with an integrated frame and multiple tabs. The tabs enable removal and replacement of the pad set from the suspension assembly to enable suspension assembly rework. The interconnect adapter is designed to adapt to polarity specifications of various head and read/write circuitry designs. The pad set design is configured for connection with a variety of traces, with a piezoelectric microactuator, pre-amplification circuitry, and any of a variety of heads.

Abstract:
Apparatuses, methods, and systems for MIMO inter-stream interference cancellation are disclosed. One method includes determining a channel matrix between a plurality of transmitting antennas of a transmitter and a plurality of receiving antennas of a receiver, determining a plurality of channel propagation delays based on a propagation delay between each of the plurality of transmitting antennas and each of the plurality of receiving antennas, determining differences in the plurality of channel propagation delays, preprocessing, by the transmitter, streams of symbols for each transmitting antenna for transmission based on the differences in the plurality of channel propagation delays and based on the channel matrix, and transmitting, by the transmitter, the preprocessed symbol streams through the plurality of transmitting antennas.
