In one embodiment, a polygeneration system is provided that includes a syngas generator for producing a syngas, a syngas enrichment unit for separating undesired species from the syngas to produce an enriched syngas and a syngas utilization system that utilizes the enriched syngas to produce useful products and a stream to facilitate the separation of undesired species in the syngas enrichment unit. In some embodiments, the polygeneration system includes membrane reactor, catalytic burner and power generation unit.

Hybrid Concentrated Solar Combined Cycle Power Plant And Solar Reformer For Use Therein

View page
US Patent:
20120274078, Nov 1, 2012
Filed:
Apr 28, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/096418
Inventors:
Wei Wei - Tustin CA, US
Lingzhi Zhang - Mission Viejo CA, US
Parag Prakash Kulkarni - Niskayuna NY, US
Assignee:
GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY - Schenectady NY
International Classification:
H02K 7/18
F03G 6/06
F02C 6/04
US Classification:
290 1 R, 60 39182, 606418
Abstract:
A hybrid concentrated solar combined cycle (CSCC) power plant based on solar reforming technology, method of generating electricity using the system and a solar reformer for use in the system are provided. The system enables integration of a concentrated solar power plant (CSP) and a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power plant, resulting in a hybrid system that corrects known issues related to large-scale concentrated solar power generation. The solar reformer provides for the storage of solar energy in a reformate fuel during the reforming reaction and subsequent release through a gas turbine combustion reaction. Fuels directed into the gas turbine power plant can be alternated between hydrocarbon fluid and the reformate fuel dependent upon available solar thermal energy.

Apparatus And Methods For Securing Elastic To A Carrier Web

View page
US Patent:
20210000657, Jan 7, 2021
Filed:
Sep 23, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/948538
Inventors:
- Sheboygan Falls WI, US
Wei Wei - North Hollywood CA, US
Debra Heus Bowe - Chilton WI, US
Jeff Middlesworth - Sheboygan WI, US
International Classification:
A61F 13/15
A61F 13/49
B29C 65/00
B29C 65/08
Abstract:
Apparatus and methods are provided to allow for creation of an elastic laminate. Non-stretched elastic can be laid at peaks over a nonwoven layer contained in valleys and atop peaks. Stretched elastic can be laid over tented nonwoven to create nonwoven tunnels when a second nonwoven is laid atop the first nonwoven and elastic, and the tunnels resist un-stretching of stretched elastic strands by frictional or obstruction forces. An elastic assembly or structure comprising a first and second layer of material bonded at spaced apart bond sites is disclosed, with a plurality of elastic strands disposed in a non-linear manner between said first and second layer of material, so that said strands meander in a cross-machine direction and traverse a machine direction line, restraining movement of the strands by frictional forces between the strands and the non-woven layers.
