Viewing Angle Adjustment System For A Monitor

View page
US Patent:
7296774, Nov 20, 2007
Filed:
Jan 3, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/028790
Inventors:
Sung I. Oh - West Covina CA, US
Assignee:
CLO Systems, LLC - West Covina CA
International Classification:
A47H 1/10
US Classification:
248324, 248919, 361681, 348825
Abstract:
This invention provides a support arm to couple a monitor to a surface such as a wall or ceiling to remotely adjust the viewing angle of the monitor. The support arm includes at least one motor along a pivot axis in the support arm. The motor may be activated by a processor based on the control signal provided by the remote control. The support arm may include a plurality of pivot axes with a motor in each of the pivot axis to adjust the viewing angle along the vertical and horizontal planes. The support arm may be also provided with a tracking device that follows the movement of the viewer to adjust the viewing angle of the monitor corresponding to the movement of the viewer. The support arm may also receive periodic signal from the remote control to determine the location of the remote control. Based on the periodic signal, the processor may adjust the viewing angle of the monitor towards the location of the remote control.

Mount System For A Monitor Having A Motorized Tilt

View page
US Patent:
7490804, Feb 17, 2009
Filed:
Sep 13, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/900858
Inventors:
Sung I. Oh - West Covina CA, US
Gyu Chang Kim - Suwon Si, KR
Assignee:
CLO Systems, LLC - West Covina CA
International Classification:
E04G 3/00
US Classification:
2482781, 248919
Abstract:
A mount system attaches a monitor to a support base such as a table or wall and is able to reposition the monitor through one or more motorized action. In particular, the mount system includes a motor to tilt the monitor. The mount system includes a mount plate that is adapted to attach to the back side of the monitor. The mount plate may be pivotably coupled to a housing at a first pivot point or axis so that the mount plate may pivot along the first pivot point relative to the housing. A shaft is provided between the mount plate and the housing. The shaft has a proximal end and a distal end. The distal end is pivotably coupled to the mount plate and the proximal end is coupled to a motor, and as the motor is activated, the distal end extends or retracts relative to the housing such that the mount plate extends or retracts relative to the housing.

Motorized Mount To Pivot A Monitor

View page
US Patent:
7661642, Feb 16, 2010
Filed:
Oct 13, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/250455
Inventors:
Sung I. Oh - West Covina CA, US
Ken Nguyen - Anaheim Hills CA, US
Assignee:
Clo Systems - City of Industry
International Classification:
E04G 3/00
US Classification:
2482741, 248917, 248922
Abstract:
A motorized mount system includes first and second mount brackets, where one or both of the mount brackets is motorized to pivot a monitor. The motorized bracket includes a motorized actuator system that releaseably engages with the monitor. The actuator system includes a moving block that releaseably pushes the monitor to tilt up, and uses the weight of the monitor to tilt down the monitor. The monitor can be separated with the moving block so that if a foreign object gets between the bottom end of the monitor and the wall, the foreign object needs to counteract the weight of the monitor but not the force due to the motor.

Swivel Mount System For A Monitor

View page
US Patent:
7661643, Feb 16, 2010
Filed:
Jan 28, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/360859
Inventors:
Sung I. Oh - West Covina CA, US
Assignee:
CLO Systems - City of Industry
International Classification:
A47F 5/00
US Classification:
24828911, 248919
Abstract:
A mount system supports a monitor against a supporting surface such as a wall. The mount system allows the monitor to swing open adjacent to one of its edge and extends the monitor away from the wall so that the edge of the monitor does not hit the wall. A motor or a linear actuator may be used to move the monitor through a motorized action.

Mounting System Adapted To Extend And Retract To Pivot A Monitor

View page
US Patent:
7663478, Feb 16, 2010
Filed:
Oct 23, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/876786
Inventors:
Sung I. Oh - West Covina CA, US
Hang-Koo Yeo - Kyunggido, KR
Assignee:
CLO Systems, LLC - City of Industry CA
International Classification:
G08B 23/00
US Classification:
340500, 3403841
Abstract:
A mount system for a monitor extends and retracts the monitor. The mount system includes a first arm pivotably coupled to a second arm so that that the monitor extends and retracts in a substantially straight line. One or more motors may be incorporated into the mount system to adjust the viewing angle of the monitor through a remote control.

Mounting System Capable Of Repositioning An Apparatus Relative To A Reference Plane

View page
US Patent:
7780131, Aug 24, 2010
Filed:
Apr 4, 2006
Appl. No.:
11/397202
Inventors:
Sung Oh - West Covina CA, US
Assignee:
CLO Systems, LLC - City of Industry CA
International Classification:
E04G 3/00
US Classification:
2482761, 248917, 248919, 248923
Abstract:
A motorized mounting system includes a plurality of actuators that extend the distal ends of the plurality of actuators in a substantially horizontal manner. The distal ends of the plurality of actuators are adapted to couple to the backside of the monitor. The distal ends of the plurality of actuators define a plane such that extending or retracting at least one of the distal ends adjust the orientation of the plane relative to the reference plane, thereby adjusting the viewing angle of the monitor. The motorized mounting system can be controlled with a remote control.
