Side And Corner Strip Nozzle

View page
US Patent:
7303153, Dec 4, 2007
Filed:
Jan 11, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/033192
Inventors:
Steve Han - Upland CA, US
Harold Miller - Upland CA, US
Assignee:
Rain Bird Corporation - Glendora CA
International Classification:
B05B 1/26
B05B 1/34
B05B 15/10
US Classification:
239461, 239463, 239483, 239498, 239203, 239204, 239201
Abstract:
A spray head provided with a plurality of nozzles defined by a base and a deflector cap. Each nozzle is provided with a deflector portion or nozzle plate for directing an upward traveling fluid in an outward direction. Furthermore, the deflector portion may be provided with steps or vanes for altering and varying the flow characteristics of a fluid spray pattern exiting the nozzle. In this manner, different portions of the fluid spray pattern may be projected to varying distances so that the fluid may cover an area having generally straight boundaries and having one or more right angles. Furthermore, the fluid spray pattern may be used to cover a triangular area. In this manner, overspray is reduced. The areas covered by independent nozzles of the spray head may be proximally located by their arrangement within the spray head so as to minimize overlap of the areas.

Closed Suction Catheter Adapter With Flush Arrangement

View page
US Patent:

Inventors:
Alex Stenzler - Long Beach CA, US
Steve Han - Upland CA, US
David Matthew Young - Gurnee IL, US
Assignee:
CareFusion 207, Inc. - San Diego CA
International Classification:
A62B 7/00
US Classification:
12820418, 12820024, 12820027
Abstract:
A respiratory apparatus including an adapter assembly and a catheter assembly. The adapter assembly includes ventilator, respiratory, access, and flush ports. The access port includes a conduit defining a passageway. The flush port projects from the conduit and is fluidly open to the passageway at an outlet. The catheter assembly includes a catheter assembled to a fitting. The fitting includes a hub and a tube, with the tube defining an exterior surface, an interior surface forming a lumen, a circumferential groove in the exterior surface, and a plurality of apertures fluidly open to the lumen and the circumferential groove. The tube is sized to be slidably received within the passageway such that upon final assembly, a fluid pathway is formed between the flush port and a distal end of the catheter via the flush port outlet, the circumferential groove, the plurality of apertures, and the lumen.

Retainer Clip For Securing Breathing Devices

View page
US Patent:
20080295835, Dec 4, 2008
Filed:
May 29, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/807468
Inventors:
Steve Han - Upland CA, US
Steve Duquette - Laguna Niguel CA, US
Terry Blansfield - Orange CA, US
Terry Shum - La Palma CA, US
International Classification:
A61M 16/00
US Classification:
12820418, 12820717, 2483167
Abstract:
A retainer clip configured to engage a tubing member includes a base portion and a clamp portion which may be formed as a unitary structure. The base portion is generally disc-shaped and has a front side and a back side. The clamp portion is disposed on the base portion and extends upwardly from the front side and comprises a spaced pair of clamp fingers which collectively define a slot that opens into a channel. The channel is adapted to frictionally engage the tubing member. The back side includes a layer of adhesive for adhering the retainer clip to the patient such as to the patient's skin. An interface assembly for delivering gas from a gas source to a patient includes a user interface, at least one tubing member extending from the user interface, and at least one of the retainer clips configured to anchor the tubing member to the patient.

Integrated Mask And Prongs For Nasal Cpap

View page
US Patent:
20080295846, Dec 4, 2008
Filed:
May 29, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/807513
Inventors:
Steve Han - Upland CA, US
Steve Duquette - Laguna Niguel CA, US
Harold Miller - Upland CA, US
International Classification:
A61M 16/06
US Classification:
12820713
Abstract:
An integrated nasal mask is adapted for delivering gas to a patient and comprises a mask body and a pair of elongate nostril-engaging stems. The mask body is generally triangularly shaped and includes a nasal opening sized and configured to substantially envelope a patient's nose. The nasal opening opens to a nasal cavity. The nostril-engaging stems extend outwardly from the nasal cavity. Each one of the stems defines a fluid passageway for delivering gas to the patient's nose and for allowing discharge of exhalation gasses during the exhalation phase of the breathing cycle.

Valve Assembly For Respiratory Systems

View page
US Patent:
20100024823, Feb 4, 2010
Filed:
Jul 29, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/511395
Inventors:
Alex Stenzler - Long Beach CA, US
Steve Han - Upland CA, US
International Classification:
A61M 16/20
A61M 16/04
US Classification:
12820524, 12820714
Abstract:
An adapter assembly including a manifold and a valve assembly. The valve assembly includes a seat and a valve body having a circular base and a wall. The wall extends from a trailing side of the base to form a dome-like shape terminating at an end at which a slit is formed, with the wall defining opposing sealing edges at the slit. The seat has an upper circumferential surface and a lower circumferential surface. The upper surface engages a leading side of the base, whereas the lower surface engages a trailing side. At least one of the upper and lower surfaces forms a segment of increased height. Upon final assembly, the valve body is disposed across a passageway of the manifold, with the slit providing a selectively openable path. A force imparted by the segment of increased height flexes the base and biases the sealing edges into engagement.

Fluid Flow Control Apparatus And Patient Fluid Sampling Method

View page
US Patent:
20100174210, Jul 8, 2010
Filed:
Jan 6, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/349118
Inventors:
Steve Han - Upland CA, US
Alex Stenzler - Long Beach CA, US
Assignee:
ALLEGIANCE CORPORATION - McGaw Park IL
International Classification:
A61B 10/00
US Classification:
600581
Abstract:
A fluid flow control apparatus used in medical fluid sampling. The apparatus includes a valve assembly, first and second ports, and a cap. The valve assembly comprises a body rotatably assembled to a housing and defining a passageway and at least two recesses defined by an interior surface of the housing and the body which is formed separate from the passageway. The ports extend from the housing and are configured for connection to medical devices. The valve assembly is operable to interchangeably align the passageway and the recesses with the ports. Gas Flow Regulating Device

View page
US Patent:
20100206309, Aug 19, 2010
Filed:
Feb 17, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/372087
Inventors:
Steve Han - Upland CA, US
Alex Stenzler - Long Beach CA, US
Assignee:
CARDINAL HEALTH 207, INC. - Yorba Linda CA

Filed:
Mar 31, 2011
Appl. No.:
13/077849
Inventors:
Alex STENZLER - Long Beach CA, US
Steve HAN - Upland CA, US
International Classification:
A61M 15/00
US Classification:
12820312
Abstract:
A metered dose inhaler (MDI) spacer has a body that defines a dose receiving chamber. A proximal end portion coupled between the body and a mouth port through which a metered dose may be inhaled by a user of the MDI spacer. A distal end portion is coupled with the body. A combined one-way and flow rate control valve coupled with the distal end portion is configured for permitting external airflow into and prohibiting internal airflow out of the dose receiving chamber. A collar coupled with the distal end portion is configured for receiving an actuator shaft of a metered dose inhaler and for forming a seal about an aerosol nozzle of the metered dose inhaler such that a metered dose of medication is admissible into the dose receiving chamber via the collar while airflow into and out of the dose receiving chamber via the collar is prohibited.
