Some embodiments concern a method of distributing information regarding one or more electrical devices using a first server. Each of the one or more electrical devices can have unique identification information, an internal IP address, and an external IP address. The method can include: receiving in the first server a first request to register a first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices, the first request to register comprises the unique identification information, the internal IP address, and the external IP address of the first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices; storing in the first server the unique identification information, the internal IP address, and the external IP address of the first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices using the first server; receiving in the first server from a first client computer a first request for information regarding the first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices; using the first server to determine the external IP address of the first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices; redirecting the first request for the information to a first gateway device if an external IP address of the first client computer is identical to the external IP address of the first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices; and returning the external IP address of the first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices if the external IP address of the first client computer is different from the external IP address of the first electrical device of the one or more electrical devices. In some embodiments, a method of placing and receiving a telephone call can include: determining that a mobile device has been coupled to a docking station while communicating audio for the telephone call using the mobile device and a wireless telephone network; communicating to a server that the mobile device has been coupled to the docking station; requesting that the server facilitate transfer of the telephone call from the wireless telephone network to a wired network; receiving incoming audio for the telephone call using the docking station and the wired network; and sending outgoing audio for the telephone call using the docking station and the wired network. The audio for the telephone call can include the incoming audio and the outgoing audio. Other embodiments are disclosed.

For example, a method may include receiving image data and textual data corresponding to an electronic device. The image data and textual data may be analyzed, and a type of the electronic device can be identified based on the analysis. Usage data associated with other electronic devices of the same type may be analyzed, and further processing may be performed based on the analysis of the usage data. In some embodiments, the further processing may include transmitting a message to a user device, the message including content related to usage of the electronic device.

The state of the water includes a prediction that the water within the pipe will freeze and/or a determination that the water within the pipe has frozen. For example, a method, system, and computer-program product for associating network devices with a local area network using a network identifier are provided. For example, a method may include receiving, at a computing device, a communication including a unique identifier for a network device connected to a network. The method may further include using the unique identifier to determine properties of the network device and generating a network identifier for the network, wherein the network identifier includes an indication of a time at which the network identifier is generated, an indication of the computing device, and an indication of the network device properties. The method can also include transmitting the network identifier, wherein when the network identifier is received, the network identifier facilitates identifying the network and associating the network device with the network.
