System And Method For Automated Report Generation Of Ophthalmic Examinations From Digital Drawings

View page
US Patent:
7793217, Sep 7, 2010
Filed:
Aug 12, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/202371
Inventors:
Young Kim - Herndon VA, US
Ken Lee - Oakton VA, US
Imran Noor Chaudhri - Potomac MD, US
International Classification:
G06F 17/00
US Classification:
715255
Abstract:
The present invention is a combined image viewing, drawing, and reporting system, which provides: an easy way to access digital images while creating a digital drawing; and an automated method of creating medical reports by translating the drawing data into standard reports. The present invention system provides automated medical drawings and creates medical reports as a result of translating drawing results. The system provides invaluable tools for drawing, diagnosing and treating ophthalmic and/or other types of diseases by generating an automated translation report based on the physician drawing. Customized reports (e. g. , a medical drawing report, a referral note, a medical letter, billing based information, a proofsheet for the patient chart, etc. ) can be added by the user. A physician can design a format for a report via system utility tools.

Abstract:
A digital medical diagnostic system according to the present invention enables ophthalmologists to view patient and other images remotely to diagnose various conditions. The system includes at least one modality, one or more viewing stations, and an image server. The modality generates patient images associated with examinations, while the image server retrieves and processes information from the modalities. The image server may accommodate modalities utilizing different interfaces and/or formats. The viewing stations enable remote access to the images via a network (e. g. , Internet), where the image server provides the interface for a user in the form of screens or web pages for security and viewing of information. The system enables an ophthalmologist or other medical personnel to view and/or manipulate one or more images to enhance diagnosis of patient examinations.

Three Dimensional Data Compression

View page
US Patent:
20130187915, Jul 25, 2013
Filed:
Jan 20, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/355364
Inventors:
Ken Lee - Fairfax VA, US
Xin Hou - Falls Church VA, US
Assignee:
VANGOGH IMAGING, INC. - McLean VA
International Classification:
G06T 17/00
US Classification:
345420
Abstract:
Described are computer-based methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, for compressing three dimensional data of a scene. Data is received comprising (i) three dimensional data of a scene, and (ii) depth data associated with the three dimensional data. A triangle mesh is generated based on the three dimensional data, the triangle mesh comprising a plurality of triangles, each triangle including three vertices and three edges connecting the three vertices. For each edge in the triangle mesh, a metric is calculated for the edge based on data from the depth data associated with the edge, a length of the edge, and a curvature of the edge. A set of edges is collapsed based on a metric associated with each edge in the set of edges to generate a compressed triangle mesh.

Body Condition Score Determination For An Animal

View page
US Patent:
20140029808, Jan 30, 2014
Filed:
Jul 23, 2013
Appl. No.:
13/948826
Inventors:
Ken Lee - Fairfax VA, US
Assignee:
ClicRweight, LLC - Tampa FL
International Classification:
G06K 9/00
US Classification:
382110
Abstract:
Described are methods and systems for determining a body condition score (BCS) for an animal. An imaging device captures at least one image of an animal, where each image includes a body region of the animal, and transmits the image to a computing device. The computing device identifies the body region contained in the image and crops a portion of the image associated with the identified body region from the image. The computing device compares the cropped portion of the image with one or more fitting models corresponding to the body region and determines a body condition score for the body region based upon the comparing step.

Remote Visualization Of Real-Time Three-Dimensional (3D) Facial Animation With Synchronized Voice

View page
US Patent:
20210375020, Dec 2, 2021
Filed:
Dec 31, 2020
Appl. No.:
17/139792
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Xin Hou - Herndon VA, US
Ken Lee - Fairfax VA, US
Yasmin Jahir - McLean VA, US
International Classification:
G06T 13/20
G06T 7/246
G06T 13/40
G06T 7/90
G06T 19/20
G06T 13/80
G06K 9/00
Abstract:
Described herein are methods and systems for remote visualization of real-time three-dimensional (3D) facial animation with synchronized voice. A sensor captures frames of a face of a person, each frame comprising color images of the face, depth maps of the face, voice data associated with the person, and a timestamp. The sensor generates a 3D face model of the person using the depth maps. A computing device receives the frames of the face and the 3D face model. The computing device preprocesses the 3D face model. For each frame, the computing device: detects facial landmarks using the color images; matches the 3D face model to the depth maps using non-rigid registration; updates a texture on a front part of the 3D face model using the color images; synchronizes the 3D face model with a segment of the voice data using the timestamp; and transmits the synchronized 3D face model and voice data to a remote device.

US Patent:
20200357158, Nov 12, 2020
Filed:
May 5, 2020
Appl. No.:
16/867196
Inventors:
- McLean VA, US
Yasmin Jahir - McLean VA, US
Xin Hou - Herndon VA, US
Ken Lee - Fairfax VA, US
International Classification:
G06T 13/40
G06T 15/04
G06F 3/14
G06T 17/20
G06F 3/16
Abstract:
Described herein are methods and systems for remote visualization of three-dimensional (3D) animation. A sensor of a mobile device captures scans of non-rigid objects in a scene, each scan comprising a depth map and a color image. A server receives a first set of scans from the mobile device and reconstructs an initial model of the non-rigid objects using the first set of scans. The server receives a second set of scans. For each scan in the second set of one or more scans, the server determines an initial alignment between the depth map and the initial model. The server converts the depth map into a coordinate system of the initial model, and determines a displacement between the depth map and the initial model. The server deforms the initial model to the depth map using the displacement, and applies a texture to at least a portion of the deformed model.
